Are you afraid of the Darksoul? [Part 2]

[[OOC: This right here is required reading if you're going to tag. OOC organization is here

For too long the firstborn son of Satan's demonic soul had been trapped, denied his rightful control over Daimon's body. Now, thanks to Mei-Xing, he was finally free. The next course of action was obvious- he would have to take control of one of the beings on this ship. He could start with the vulnerable and move on to the more powerful. He had to act fast before that fool recovered. Fortunately he needn't go very far. The city was full of potential victims.

Now, now. Who to possess first?

"You know, before you were famous and richer than God, I had this thing called a job. It came with self-sufficiency, a paycheck and surprisingly good break-room coffee." She fidgets with her hands a bit more than usual and tries to convince herself that possession was nothing like Yeerks. It wasn't another being really controlling her, just her own personality ramped up on hatred and demons. Right? Her tentative steps feel as if they could be stopped by some unseen force at any moment.

She takes the flower clip from the back of her head so her hair covers the neck welt. No need for Marco to be able to see that longer than necessary. "Cassie's barn has bandages and disinfectant, doesn't it?"
livestoannoy: (Haven't you noticed that this is insane?)

"You still had a job," Marco said dryly. "You just got extra perks as well. Like yachts."

He looked at Eva, raising his eyebrow at her. "Yeah, but no way are you treating yourself. Cassie can do it. Come on, let's get going."

"I'll have you know that I could buy boats with the job I had, thank you very much. Or at least a boat. But it was a nice one!" she protests.

She rolls her eyes at him. Banter is a nice distraction, at least. Focus on being lighthearted enough and sometimes it almost works. She resists the urge to ask him if he, too, is alright, because she knows the answer to that and knows he won't like the question. "You don't think I can take care of a wound on a part of my body that I can't see while so exhausted I can't think straight? Fine, have it your way."
livestoannoy: (Okay okay I'm listening)

"I could buy better boats," Marco countered, before starting to pull Eva along. "And since we're having it my way, time to start walking."
