Are you afraid of the Darksoul? [Part 2]

[[OOC: This right here is required reading if you're going to tag. OOC organization is here

For too long the firstborn son of Satan's demonic soul had been trapped, denied his rightful control over Daimon's body. Now, thanks to Mei-Xing, he was finally free. The next course of action was obvious- he would have to take control of one of the beings on this ship. He could start with the vulnerable and move on to the more powerful. He had to act fast before that fool recovered. Fortunately he needn't go very far. The city was full of potential victims.

Now, now. Who to possess first?

"Him?" Well now she was interested. There were hardly enough people on the ship for a troll to be angry at, was there? Unless there were other trolls. Now that she thought about it though, hadn't she met another troll like her before?

"And who is he?"

"Tavros Nitram," replied the Darksouled Kanaya, voice growing stronger and harsher again -- no doubt, whatever war was being waged in her head, the demonic presence was beginning to win. "Unless you're going to help me reach him, I want you out of my way, wench. Now!" Whatever tolerance the Darksoul may have had for conversation seemed to be gone.

"Oh him," Alessa did recall meeting that troll, or at east knowing of him: he certainly had made himself popular for one reason or another.

But at the last part of the conversation, Alessa looked at this troll slowly. There was a darkening in her eyes as she recognized the tone. It belonged to that swell headed man, that Daimon, didn't it?

"Wench? When you address me in such a tone, how can I say no?" Alessa's aura started to tighten around them. "Except, well, I am, and furthermore, your attitude toward another demon is deplorable."

"Are you really so naive as to think there's honor among demons?" Kanaya's lips twisted into a toothy sneer, and she seemed to be staring at Alessa with contempt as well as anger. "Then you deserve this!" With a swift movement of one arm, the possessed troll lashed out with soulfire -- not as potent as it might have been coming from Daimon, but powerful nonetheless.

Alessa simply disappeared when the soulfire came and reappeared behind the troll. She grabbed her by the shoulder, and when Kanaya turned, she would see the look on the little demon's face starting to change.

"If you were in Daimon's body, this would be more troublesome. For now, you are starting to annoy me. I never did like Daimon, and stopping you would actually amuse me."

She smiled evily. "But come on: let me see what you can do."

"You--!"

Kanaya spun, pulling herself away from Alessa, soulfire growing stronger as the Darksoul intensified its control. She lunged forward with the trident; it was obvious that she wasn't precisely skilled with the weapon, but raw fury made up for it, and the soulfire was quickly growing to inferno levels around her. Strange shapes flickered around her back -- shapes unnervingly like the wings of some unearthly butterfly.

Oh, so she was getting serious, was she? Alessa couldn't help but smile a little here: it looked like this wasn't going to be boring at all.

She moved out of the trident's reach: she could do something that fairly easily, it was all about being where your opponent wasn't, after all. The troll's intensity was kicked up a notch though, so it made sense that Alessa would do the same: she moved faster toward Kanaya, cutting off the space between them, an invisible dark force striking back and protecting the demon girl.

The wings did not go unnoticed though, and she stepped back, looking as if she were suddenly upon something like a kracken. Alessa's own power, after all, was nothing to sneeze at, and almost always violent.
