Are you afraid of the Darksoul? [Part 2]

For too long the firstborn son of Satan's demonic soul had been trapped, denied his rightful control over Daimon's body. Now, thanks to Mei-Xing, he was finally free. The next course of action was obvious- he would have to take control of one of the beings on this ship. He could start with the vulnerable and move on to the more powerful. He had to act fast before that fool recovered. Fortunately he needn't go very far. The city was full of potential victims.

Now, now. Who to possess first?

'Superboy' dodged the bolt of Soulfire and Jeka swore to herself in surprise. Fortunately, no one was really in that area, so the bolt fizzled harmlessly. She'd have to be careful to keep Sasami from aiming one of those downward at the buildings.

"Hey, when they say little girls shouldn't play with matches, I don't think they meant for you to get a flame-thrower!" she had the illusionary Superboy say as he continued his approach in a more zig-zagging fashion.

"You have no idea what you're playing with! Leave me alone!" Darksoul!Sasami shouted, trying to aim at the illusion Superboy. If it could, the Darksoul would curse - he's just too fast.

'Superboy' kept dodging this way and that, occasionally firing off burst of heat-vision. Not close enough to hit Sasami, not yet, but close enough that she can feel the heat -- or at least think she feels the heat.

While she was distracted and focused on him, Jeka erased herself from the information Sasami's eyes sent to her brain and flew closer. If she could get close enough, she could knock Sasami out until the exorcists arrived.

The Darksouled Sasami wasn't too thrilled at this point. The illusion was starting to fight back, forcing her to evade the shots.

"Augh! Leave me alone! Stop shooting at me!" she yelled out, randomly firing Soulfire, hoping to hit the illusion in the process... and probably put Jeka and anyone else around in danger.

Too close too close too close--

"AGHHH!" Jeka screamed, throwing her arms up to protect her face as she recoiled away from a blast, the flames searing the flesh of her arms and shoulder.

Superboy seemed to simply vanish into thin air, but Jeka managed to maintain her "invisibility". Unfortunately, she'd been too focused on dodging to erase her scream before it reached Sasami's brain.
