Are you afraid of the Darksoul? [Part 2]
[[OOC: This right here is required reading if you're going to tag. OOC organization is here
For too long the firstborn son of Satan's demonic soul had been trapped, denied his rightful control over Daimon's body. Now, thanks to Mei-Xing, he was finally free. The next course of action was obvious- he would have to take control of one of the beings on this ship. He could start with the vulnerable and move on to the more powerful. He had to act fast before that fool recovered. Fortunately he needn't go very far. The city was full of potential victims.
Now, now. Who to possess first?

Attacking wasn't an option. Instead she flew here and there, pestering him, trying to wear him down. If she could just get a grip on him, maybe she could say something...or knock the trident away! That might work.
Her first test was to fire a starbolt at it, not knowing what that would do.
"I am your friend! We do not fight this way," she yelled as she tried to deflect and defend.

Starfire kept a starbolt up in one hand to illuminate. Here, at least, others were unlikely to be hurt. "Beast Boy?"
no subject
Sorry Star, the lights are on but Beastboy isn't home.

Reacting as her instincts dictated and against better judgment, Starfire reached her hands out and grabbed for him. No matter how painful this was, even if it started to burn, she had to contain it. Had to keep him safe.
"I will not leave you again," she promised quietly.

"It's always about you isn't it princess?" He spat as they tumbled through the air and he pushed soulfire into her arms. "Always about you and Robin, the heart and soul of the team. The celebrity couple! Eat pavement!" The street was rushing up to greet them fast.

Her eyes watered and started to glow green, and she felt as if the agony would kill her at any moment, but she pushed upward with all her might. Maybe she had hoped to slow the fall.
no subject
So another blast of the soulfire for good measure.

Desperate, she saw a heavy-looking pole looming above them. She needed to startle him and stop this pain so she could move. A squint of her eyes and a blast later, she'd targeted a heavy pole to the side. It came falling down over him.
Hopefully the dodging would give her a second of relief from the fire to stand.
"Beast Boy...please, can you hear me?"
no subject
Tucking his head down the monster rushed her attempting to bowl her over, trounce her, and go thundering down the street.

Bracing herself, she ducked low and attempted to hit under him, trying for a flip. All she needed was a moment to wake hm up, but doubt was starting to plague the back of her mind.
No, she can't think of that. There would be a way to fix this.
no subject
Gravity would do it's working bringing him back down at her hard and fast, trident forward blasting away attempting to impale the orange skinned beauty. "I'm not!" He snarled back.
no subject
"Release him!" she managed to yell as she leapt up, trying for a downward slam. Of course, she wasn't sure who she was addressing or even certain of what was in control of Beast Boy, but whatever it was needed to go.

And maybe she could make a play for jarring the hand with the trident while she was at it. She tried this with a swift attack to the wrist. Not enough to break, she wouldn't forgive herself, but maybe it would give her a better chance to free him.
no subject
Not that it would help much. His entire body was a weapon at this point.

Thinking fast, she twisted a finger in to touch her ring and cry out to people in the area.
{{Please help---something has happened to Beast Boy!}}
Even her inner voice sounded hoarse. But here, she had to do something---curling up into a ball where she stood, she slipped a foot on the trident hand and kicked down hard, trying to pull back all the while.
"No."
no subject
"Hope for the worst princess, you've already lost everything else."
And now aware that his cover was blown, the Darksoul took off on all fours running, seeking out his next vessel.
no subject
"As have you. Leave him at once." It was a command in every sense of the word. One that the darksoul could not ignore.

At least, she hoped it was him. The girl dropped heavily to her knees beside him, fear still evident in her voice. "Beast Boy?"

"It is all right," she whispered, hopeful that he'd hear her and not feel guilt later. With a heavy sigh and another surge of pain, she gently carried him so a safer spot beside a stable building.
She sat back and promptly fell asleep the moment he was safe on the ground. Medical treatment could wait.
