Are you afraid of the Darksoul? [Part 2]

For too long the firstborn son of Satan's demonic soul had been trapped, denied his rightful control over Daimon's body. Now, thanks to Mei-Xing, he was finally free. The next course of action was obvious- he would have to take control of one of the beings on this ship. He could start with the vulnerable and move on to the more powerful. He had to act fast before that fool recovered. Fortunately he needn't go very far. The city was full of potential victims.

Now, now. Who to possess first?

Finally spotting a bit of cover she could use in the form of a building, Cagalli ran up to it, but didn't intend on actually using it until she was being shot at it with more fire or pink stuff. Mei-Xing's comments continued to rile her, and she slammed the butt of the trident down in indignation. "I do not care what you find cute! You're nothing I cannot handle no matter how inappropriately you behave, and now it's time for you to burn! She aimed, not really getting what the elf meant about climax...

Then she did, suddenly shouting in surprise, wide-eyed with a sudden... was that...? The butt of the trident was slammed down again, but this time it was to keep her barely standing, her legs shaking as breathing suddenly became a lot harder. She hadn't felt anything like that in a while, and never so out of the blue. That doesn't just happen out of the blue! "What was... what the Hell was that?!"

After seeing the... impact of her spell, Mei-Xing just smiles like the Cheshire Cat and begins to close the gap between the two. "That? Just a little party favor I like to drop on mages that're getting on my nerves." She waves her hand, sending out another spell just like the previous one.

The drain hits harder than the first spell, however, and she fights a wave of dizziness. Hopefully, Cagalli will be too... Distracted to do much more than wait for Mei-Xing to stomp her face in.

Cagalli is... more than distracted enough, for the moment. Apparently the Darksoul doesn't have much of a resistance against sexual thoughts and feelings, which is a total gyp when it does so many other useful things.

The first shot of the spell was enough to stun Cagalli, and she was only just recovering when the second hits. "Ah! D-damn!" She wobbled, leaning against the nearest wall for added support, her face turning red. Mei-Xing was doing this to her... this woman had the audacity to do something like this to her! If she could get herself moving again she'd show her a thing or two about 'getting on her nerves', including burning them from her body if she could just... stand up straight and... keep leaning pitifully against the wall. "I'll... I'll kill you..."

Mei-Xing stops right in front of her, arching an eyebrow. She waves her hand again, casting the spell for a third time. She really has no mercy. Not when there's a spirit going around possessing people. "Really, you're not the best at this. I mean, first you make me beat on a little girl, then you choose this one?"

She snorts a little, placing a hand on the wall to support herself with, to hide the sudden wave of dizzy as she casts it a fourth time. "It's almost becoming a game. I'll see how many different ways I can weaken your host bodies, and you go find a new one."

That third time takes Cagalli's footing out from under her, and she slides to the ground in a pitiful, panting lump of girl, still leaning against the wall. "Y-you... make it hard... to get my..." She gasps, trying to bring the trident around. "My way..."

And another one for good measure, though she barely makes a noise this time, too taxed to react. "S-stop... please..." she whines pitifully, squeezing a tear out. Alligator tears, mostly, because Mei-Xing can hurt a little girl while she's being violent, but in this case, why not use a somewhat older girl's suffering for a different kind of sympathy? Sure, it won't work, but letting the girl cry doesn't exactly hurt the Darksoul either.

"Well, no shit. I probably wouldn't have used the spell on her if you hadn't decided to stop in." She squats, adding in a fifth, and hopefully final spell onto the load. Mainly at the pathetic attempt to tug on her heartstrings.

She makes a fist and slowly tugs a thin, wire-like substance from her wrist. A scientific inspection would reveal it to be spider webbing. "Drop the trident, or I really amp up the power of the spell. I've never knocked someone out with this, but I'm perfectly willing to try. They'd likely forgive me too, considering you're an evil spirit possessing the girl."

Despite her words, the Darksoul was still urging Cagalli to shakily aim the trident... settling for dropping it in Mei-Xing's general direction, in a pitiful attempt to at least make her bleed or something. "Screw... off..." she muttered as she fell sideways, too drained to resist any more.

Between the demonic possession, the spells, and her own feelings towards Mei-Xing, Cagalli was very, incredibly worn out mentally and physically - and the Darksoul knew its time was just about up again.

Mei-Xing snorts and steps over the trident, roughly grabbing Cagalli's wrists and using the spider silk to bind them together. She does the same for Cagalli's feet, and then connects the two with about two feet of webbing. She wanted Cagalli unable to move, that didn't mean she had to bend the girl into something extremely uncomfortable.

After all, if she's going to sexually harass someone in the name of ship security, she hardly wants them to have a bad time while doing it. "You should probably meet up with me when I'm not tipsy and you're not possessed. You're cute. We'd have a lot to talk about."

With that said, she practically collapses into a sitting position. Too many powerful spells pushed back to back was beginning to take its toll on her. If she could just take a moment to catch her breath...

But no. She didn't have much time for that. Mei-Xing pushes herself back up, then reaches down and pulls out the dagger that Viking boy had made for her. Slowly, she begins to etch a circle into the ground around Cagalli, filling it with symbols of arcane Eastern origins. She didn't have the strength to pull off an exorcism with raw power anymore, too much activity had taken its toll. So now, hopefully before Daimon could arrive, she'd boost her powers with a ritual circle and purge the girl.

She no longer resists. Even with the combined willpower of two entities, an exhausted body is an exhausted body. Only the barest squirming indicates that she's conscious, and even that's somewhat questionable at this point, the Darksoul already considering what direction to flee in next. Cagalli, meanwhile... just wants to punch Mei-Xing forever once she gets moving again, which is not just the Darksoul's influence.

"You... merely give me... another avenue..." she pants, vision swimming.
