Are you afraid of the Darksoul? [Part 2]

For too long the firstborn son of Satan's demonic soul had been trapped, denied his rightful control over Daimon's body. Now, thanks to Mei-Xing, he was finally free. The next course of action was obvious- he would have to take control of one of the beings on this ship. He could start with the vulnerable and move on to the more powerful. He had to act fast before that fool recovered. Fortunately he needn't go very far. The city was full of potential victims.

Now, now. Who to possess first?

It was sad and embarrassing at this point. It was something he wasn't expecting at all! There was no way at this point Sasami's body could handle this kind of assault.

At this point, though, Sasami's in a dazed state, unable to focus to even escape.

It was hard enough to keep up with darksoul, drained as he was. Being kicked in the chest had slowed him down even more.

And now she was using brute force against a child when he could have handled this. Typical.

"Hold her there!" Daimon yelled.

Mei-Xing stops, looks down at the girl that she's sitting on, then looks up at Daimon. "....You're drekking me, right?" Shaking her head, she just waves her hand. "Shut up. I'm trying to exorcise him. Without you yammering in my ear, I can probably pull it off this time."

"That will not solve the problem. The darksoul must be returned to me and only I can do that." He took long strides over to Sasami. "Of course if you wish to indulge your appetite for carnage then far be it for me to stop you." By the seven circles, she was just a child. How could he have let this happen?

"Oh, yes. I should hold back on the innocent little girl, despite the fact that she's got a monster in her." The more Daimon talks, the less Mei-Xing's interested in hearing from him. "I'll take down my targets through any means I deem necessary. As long as your evil spirit doesn't do any damage, I'm happy. This, she'll walk off after a trip to Medical and a lollypop."

It was a wonder he ever got anything done if he didn't understand that sometimes you had to break things.

While they were busy talking the darksoul slipped free from Sasami's body.

"By the Hadean Chimes!" Daimon had to literally bite his tongue to keep from continuing. Instead he knelt beside Sasami, placed his hand on her forehead and closed his eyes.

For a moment a soft glow enveloped the two bodies and when Daimon stepped away Sasami had been healed.

"Rest, child." He only wished he had time to properly care for her. But the threat continued.
