Ten rounds at the Drunken Dragon...
The addition of a few new drinks, Kaylee hopes, will help get a few newbies into the bar, which will hopefully help it getting everyone a bit more relaxed than they have been. Not everyone on Stacy necessarily like beer or ale, so some vodka and wine open it up nicely to different tastes. Kaylee has also managed to rig up some nice cross-between-Chinese-and-folksy-sounding music, which she can be found dancing to on occasion behind the bar or while she's delivering drinks to tables.
Bar's open, everybody. Come try the new drinks--just don't start any trouble, or the Draconian in the corner will take you out.

"So how about some of this vodka?" He still prefers whiskey but eh, it's alcohol.

Kaylee poured Dean a glass, and handed it over the counter to him. "Let me know how it is. Still ain't tried it myself."

wheee!
"Yeah? I'll be the judge of that." He belted back some of it, and swallowed.
"Not bad."

He sighed, and then had another swig of the alcohol.
"Ok, it's pretty good, happy?"

"Professor, I vould like some vine."
So she turned to the Drunken Dragon, where she usually only went to train with Kang and Ronon until recently, and walked over to the bar. The music was actually pretty inviting, almost like something she'd hear in her world, and she couldn't help but linger and sway in the music a little before approaching the bartender.
Beer and ale she'd had before as well as vodka, but wine was fairly new to her, and more for formal occasions, right? A glass, she was sure, wouldn't hurt anyone. Besides, unless someone bent her ear, she planned to go over some more training schematics for the Outsiders anyway.
Oh those Durmstrang boys... -_-
"Katara!! Hey! Glad to see you out and about. How're you doin'? Lookin' for anythin' in particular?"
Re: Oh those Durmstrang boys... -_-
She put her papers down. "Did you get caught up in the Steve monster thing at all?"

"Thankfully, no. Don't know how I managed it, seein' everybody else that did..."

She looked at her with an amused look. "You go looking for trouble is how it happened. If I'd been smart, I would have left him alone and stayed in the Outsider's headquarters healing people. Instead I tried to talk Steve down. It didn't end well."
She has a scar to prove it: a small one, but still.

It said a lot, about both of their characters, that Kaylee couldn't help but think she might have done the same, even knowing the consequences.
"You tried, and that's more than a lot of folks could say."

Needless to say, he was in the mood for a drink. Or a few. He'd been through three or four at this point and now he couldn't feel his arm aching anymore.
He was also incredibly friendly, as a result. Moreso than usual, anyway.

He shot her a winning smile, though that line was pretty bad, even for him.

"I guess plaster casts are too much to ask for around here."

She's heard that there's wine at the bar, and that's always a nice cure for nothing. She's got a checked out media pad and she's found ¡Adios, Cordera! on it, so it needs a rather melancholy, sad wine to go with it.
"What've you got in the wine section?"
