Halloween Party

Who knows why the ship was doing this. Maybe it was some kind of social experiment. Maybe Stacy was feeling festive and somewhere, out there, it was Halloween. Maybe the players just wanted to have Halloween fun. No one would ever know, would they.

In any case, what better place for a Halloween dance than a graveyard? In an area in the center, clear of headstones, there was a dance floor, and there were seats and tables with skeletal frames. Somehow grisly carved torches and jack-o-lanterns of varying sizes and shapes, cast enough eerie light to light up the place, despite the fact it was night. There were places to bob for apples, popcorn balls on strings strung up for people to try to eat for games involving that. The food tables will full of Halloweeny snacks and candy.

Far off, there was a haunted house, decrepit and foreboding. It seemed people could look into it if they dared sent down the dark trail to where it was. [ooc: Haunted house post link forthcoming].

Creepy--but danceable music was playing, from nowhere.

Perhaps most notable was the fact that the moment someone entered the Sensorium, they would find themselves in a costume. Sometimes these costumes would be what the character themselves would choose, but sometimes they'd be dressed as something strange, embarrassing, or just something they wouldn't even recognize. Leaving and coming back wouldn't fix the problem, in most cases. The costumes wouldn't change, and if they did, it wasn't guaranteed that they'd change to something better.

Whatever the case, party hard, Meatship. Somebody's got to teach the Vikings, draconians, aliens, and other sundry people to Thriller dance.

"I don't know either," Katara muttered to Toothless. "I think I'm supposed to be a mad scientist or something, I don't know. Peter said something about me having a degree in being horrible or something. It was really cute when Toothless purred like this though: almost like having Momo all over again.

"At least everyone's having fun though, right?" Katara said hopefully, then eyed a boy that was....dressed as a very elaborate girl. Funny, he looked familiar.

sorry for the delay, roommate had a family emergency.

Having no idea what a mad scientist was or why someone named Peter would know whether or not Katara had a degree in being horrible, Toothless just nodded and continued to glee over the affection he was awarded.

He trilled agreeably, then, sort of smiling at Katara the way he did by closing his eyes part-way and just looking sated. He then followed her line of sight and hissed a funny sort of laughing sound. Oh, yes. It was funny again.

Katara looked over at Toothless, happy that he was enjoying the attention, but she couldn't help but notice that even he seemed to find amusement in what she was looking at. Granted, it WAS funny, but she wondered if Toothless knew this guy at all. Seriously, he did look familiar.

"Wonder who he's supposed to be," she said to Toothless, then noticed something. "Wait, he has that moon crescent thing like you do. Are you guys from the same series or something."

Yes, she knows about series now. Hanging out with Beastboy proved to be enlightening.

oh and sometimes I wish it didn't. =__=;

With a roll of his inky shoulders, Toothless turned a bit of a grin on Katara until she mentioned the crescent moon. Wait, same crescent? What crescent, he didn't have a crescent. Did he have a crescent?

The dragon rather abruptly started angling his head around, looking at the entirety of his body that he could see with his own two eyes. Which included most everything, except for his own head which was what he currently needed to notice. He whined, softly, turning to look at Katara with a considerably more harried expression, now. Series? What was a series and what does it have to do with a crescent that I totally don't have.

"Wait," Katara said, and poured some of the water on the ground and still it with her hands so that it was reflective enough that Toothless could see the crescent himself.

"There," she said. "It's sort of nice on you, actually. But if you want it off-"

She brought some water to her fingers, and gently started to rub the mark off of his head.
