The quest of looking for her Mistress. Open for anyone.
Vita, still dressed in a strange dress that actually was magical armor, was exploring the ship.
In other words, what looked like a kid with a weird fashion sense, armed only with a criquet mallet, was walking alone through possibly dangerous terrain. What could go wrong there?
To be more precise, she was actually not exploring, but looking for wherever Hayate was now. She knew her mistress was on the ship, after all.
"Oi, Hayate." She tried to send telepathically, through the link, though she wasn't sure if this would work here.
The ship sure was big...

But nevermind that...she sure wasn't going to let any stranger notice something like that. "Oi, what're you looking at? Something wrong?" she asked.
no subject
"Um... Sorry. No. That's, um, an interesting dress."
no subject
This did, in fact, include the bunny-doll-like things attached to her hat.

"Wow. Your friend must be really talented. But... uh, how exactly is that armor?"

He had to admit a certain amount of surprise at the number of young girls serving as crew aboard this ship.
no subject
"Graf Eisen?"
Surprisingly, a metallic, male voice answered her, albeit in a different language. What was speaking appeared to be her hammer.
[]*
"I was wrong, huh..."
*Translation from German(Ancient Belkan in Vita's canon): No hostile activity detected
I actually knew that. Yay me!
"Good day," he said quite politely, with a respectful bow to go with the greeting. As if the wizardry paraphernalia he wore in quantity didn't offer enough cue to his quasimedieval heritage!
Oh, I'm sorry ^^;;;; Most people on LJ don't know german so... ^^;
Resting her weapon over her shoulder, she faced the new arrival. And while she hadn't seen an elf before, she did know people with different-than-human ears, so it didn't really seem that weird to her.
"Ah, good day, too." She replied. She wasn't the best conversationalist by far, but she had learned that it paid to be somewhat sociable. "You're a regular of the crew, huh?"
While wrong, it was a reasonable assumption to make.
It's been 11 years since my last German class, I'm just thrilled I could translate!
"I do admit, though, that I sensed magic in this direction. I hope you don't think me overly nosy for investigating." She seemed nice, but stiff -- as in uncomfortable with socialization, not just naturally used to formality the way he was, so he thought perhaps a show of mild contrition was in order. Beyond which, he truly hadn't meant to alarm or concern here!
Ooh, I see! Well our language isn't that interesting anyway ^^;
But I like to be a know-it-all, so!
Haha

The mun knew, of course. Vita not so much.
Aibghalien's job: biggest know-it-all EVER
Haha, he's an elf after all
Two hour commutes suck.
Needing to sleep also sucks.
Stupid biological needs!
Indeed!
Also stupid: work
Nanoha Universe: because Knights are mages, too.
D&D universe: because preparation-casters are better than anything!

Not that I want the thread to end, the elf just actually remembered other people are... people!
Oh if you want it to end anytime thats totally fine, I'm not that selfish!
I'm selfish! Selfish enough to KEEP IT GOING AS LONG AS POSSIBLE HA HA HA HA!
Haha ^^

Don't run, Vita!
So far, she's okay.

TONS of fun. Vita has a friend for ship-life. ^.^
Works well! ^^

Following along, she felt her way through the connection and soon turned the corner. Tiny hands flew into the air with joy as she cried out "Viiitaaaaaaa~!"
Tackle.
no subject
Well...that was unlikely, size difference and all. Vita was glad to see another of her friends, that's for sure. Of course, she still was Vita, so it was somewhat embarassing for her, still.
no subject
She wanted to hug Vita a lot considering the week she was having. "Has Hayate shown up? She's around here somewhere."
no subject
Yeah, Vita wasn't liking those a bit. Mid-Childa being destroyed... thus, Rein wasn't rebuffed, and the fairy was free to hug Vita.
"Haven't seen her yet, so I decided to look for her." She coughed. Rein probably had guessed that already.
no subject
"Mmm, Hayate comes and goes. She's everywhere, but we've got a place at the Bus. When the situation down in the City clears up, we can go there."

Vita, applying Nanoha logic to other people is forbidden.
Though with Superman it kinda works
Re: Though with Superman it kinda works
[bendytimed to after scan]
And because everyone she doesn't trust yet is a potential enemy, and know your enemy is a central tenet to survival, she's getting introduced to people. Even children.
"Are you really going to play croquet wearing that?"
Bendytime? I need to look up more details *obvious newbie* S-sorry!
Vita started to reply absent mindedly, being busy to take a look at the really weird scenery and trusting that she'd notice if someone fired magic or mass-based weaponry at her fast enough.
However, she caught herself quite quickly, and stopped in mid sentence. Best way to handle a lapse: Pretend it never happened.
"Ahm, no, that's just my weapon." She said, being completely serious, as she glanced in Eva's direction. That should explain that, right?
Re: Bendytime? I need to look up more details *obvious newbie* S-sorry!
"Your...weapon." Eva says, eyes narrowing, one hand resting on her hip, near her gun. "Against whom? It looks like there's only so much you can do with it, unless you're fighting gnomes or things of that nature. Does it shoot fire or something?"
It always makes her sad to see kids living a life of combat. "Who were you fooling, anyway?"
no subject
"Uhm, against pretty much anything." Her face turned to a slightly annoyed expression. "Of course Graf Eisen here can't shoot fire, but he can propel energy bolts. Not to mention smashing things, there's little we two can't destroy."
...The last thing Eva said did tick her off visibly, although her anger didn't look particularly scary, due to her (lack of) size. "And I'm not trying to fool anybody, either!"
no subject
Eva backs up, hands up to show she isn't holding any weapon. No way would she threaten a kid with a gun, even one who's armed and obviously hiding something. "Pardon me for not believing that slip was anything but Freudian."
For all her "I'm not a kid", she's a bit clueless about terms like 'Freudian'.
