Meet N' Greet
||All crew-mates. Please report to the Obs Deck to meet your new crew-mates.||
It's time for all the newbies to get a chance to have a formal meeting with the crew. Given the confusion of their arrival, that's probably a good thing.
Word gets out among the crew mates, spreading in a game of whisper down the meat-alley, that an informal crew meeting is what's happening, free from Stacy's prying ears, and sure enough, as soon as everyone's in the room, they're gestured to move in close, and a wall of blue energy goes up around them all.

Re: Getting the F$%# out of Here

"What have you already tried, besides that? Has anyone tried anything?"

He waves a hand, "In any case, I'm assuming this wagon has GPS. We find the bridge, we find the TARDIS. A direct connection into Stacy's master-brain would provide us with any other answers we require, I'd recommend we look into that also."
no subject
He holds up a finger with his free hand.
"Alternative option, if that fails--there has to be some kinda ventilation system. We find an open access point or make one, sent a mechanical drone to test for safety, and if the ducts are big enough, and it's safe, we send someone small and ninja-ey through to manually find a door access on the other side."
He goes on, "Now from there, there's got to be a bridge or some sort of centralized access point to Stacy's inner workings. An engine core--something hooked up to her main brain. We can steal a page from the Yeerks' book, and use what we've scrapped of their tech to hook up an interface to her nerves, and the scarab and any other computer nerds try to crack her brain from there. Even if we can't take complete control of her we could maybe find a sleep of podsleep people and wake someone from podsleep that could help us or find out where the Doctor's TARDIS is."
"Another alternative option--we use our methods of breaking through to new sections of the ship to find the TARDIS manually, or bust into the bridge, and take control of the ship from there. By force."

"And that's not even considering the notion that we could have been in biostasis for years. Intellectually, I don't want to put the cap on centuries worth of time, meaning we might not even at this time have homes to go back to. Between the nerd herd Stacy's assembled, we COULD build a space-machine that incorporates time travel, but that would still require Stacy not to know about it for long enough for us to do the actual building. So I agree - TARDIS, or hacking Stacy to the point where we can work ourselves out without her interference."
"As far as ventilation goes, how about you put that Zuko guy on that? He's been crawling around Stacy's nostrils for like two weeks now."
no subject
It isn't technically insulting, but it sounded kind of like it was.

"I'm not sure what a TARDIS is, someone please elaborate. Other than that, if it can help us get out of here I'm all for it. It would be great if we could find my armor, too, I'm much more effective with it and for all we know it could be locked up with this TARDIS and the rest of our missing gear. If I had it, we might be able to break Cortana free from the AI multiplex so Stacy wouldn't be able to read her mind."
And the other subject at hand. Vents. The Chief, like most Spartans, is far too big to be a good tunnel rat.
"Chances of getting lost in the vents are high. How've you been navigating, Zuko?"
no subject
He took a deep breath, because he never, ever liked saying what was about to come out of his mouth. "Master's right, though. If we're in the wrong universe, there might be difficulties. We'd have to find a rift, a big, gaping hole between 'em, or make our own. Assuming Stacy's not leaving them in her wake like a big spike through a pile of receipts."
"But assuming one of those were arranged, and let's face it, we are two semi-immortal geniuses who don't sleep much and a really awesome time ship," yes, he was including the TARDIS on the team and leaving Brainy out, "it wouldn't take that long for us to figure out how to get everyone home. Dangerous, messy, might implode or explode something, not at all energy-efficient, but ultimately possible in a way that will probably break most of the rules."
He flashed a quick, perky smile. "It'll be like school all over again."
no subject
"It's long enough that I haven't run out yet. I'm borrowing it from Brainy."
He glances sidelong at the Doctor before going on. "I'm not interested in exploding." Rule-breaking's alright, though.
"And I have one more question. When you figure a way out - what are all of you going to do about the people on the ship who aren't here? The ones who are sleeping, or hidden?"

"Yepyep!"

Jaime looks thoughtful. "So our priorities are opening up more of the ship, getting to the bridge, finding an access point to Stacy's nerves, and finding the TARDIS, whichever we can pull off first, since it's a ship that can get us off this ship. Zuko, if you have been crawling around in Stacy's ducts, we might need you to do more of it. Robin's another prospect, too--both of you maybe ought to go together if we find a good path, since you're both fight-capable, but we really ought to send some kind of drone first. For all we know, there's some laser zappy system that will fry you if you go somewhere you're not supposed to. We should also have a doctor or two standing by whenever we explore. All we need is someone breaking up some duct and getting a faceful of Stacy's digestive acid or something, without a doctor nearby."
He goes on, "The idea here should maybe be Unmanned probe to very small crew member like Rufus or maybe a morphed Ax, since smaller might mean less chance of activating any sort of security thingy, to people who are agile and can also defend themselves if there's something bad on the other side."
To answer Zuko's question: "As for the others, we send them home, too. We make sure there's no one else trapped on the ship in other areas. Even if everyone else wants to leave, I'll at least stay until everyone's sent where they belong. If we manage to get control of Stacy, the scarab and I can probably run stuff to get them all out and home."
He lifts his chin. "No one gets left behind."

"It's good you feel that way, Reyes, because you're the one I wanted to head the team."

She smiles a small smile.
"You've been busy. While the rest of us have been infested by brain parasites, or distracted by what's going on around us--" Or tied up in some kind of drama or another. "--you haven't stopped trying to find a way to get us home. Not even for a second. I think that's what we need in the person in charge of the team responsible for doing just that."

He had Ax, Ron's rat...thing, Robin, Mai, and Zuko in mind.

"I can build drones, but what I can do really depends on what I have to work with." It doesn't occur to him to enlist any of the other techies for help, Jack isn't used to having anyone competent to ask when it comes to robotics and is proud of doing his work alone besides.

Mai sighs, picking at her creepy plant-suit, "...and while we're here, can I get normal clothes anywhere on this stupid ship?"

Shaking her head, she pushed the thoughts of her friends and loved ones from her mind and instead focused on the current conversation.
She cleared her throat. "I'm a Doctor," she offered. "I wouldn't mind helping out with the medlab."
no subject
Didn't seem like it.
She finally raised her hand after the redheaded lady had spoken, figuring it was a good time to toss in what she was good at. "I'm good with guns, explosives... Weapons in general. Oh, and not that it really matters here - but I'm pretty good at kicking butt too..."
She looked over at Sawyer, a smirk beginning to form. "Just ask him, he got first hand experience..."
