The Battle That Ended The Century

People say that war is hell. This looked it.

Buildings and cars and bodies are scattered like broken toys as far as the eye can see, stretching out toward a dirty horizon. Even the clouds seems streaked with mud and blood, and they're taking it out on everyone below with a constant stream of cold, soaking rain.

The sounds of fighting seem to come from all directions, but at this moment, there's no one else in sight.

A breather. The calm before the storm.

[[OOC: This is for everyone who was involved with "The Lurking Fear". Questions go to Milo or Kaylin.]]

I won't let you down, promises Billy as he shifts his hold, grunting as Blue Ranger swings a few punches. With some effort, his hands are restrained and his feet clamped down on.

"Of all the insults---I'm stinky?!" protests Blue Ranger, taking a leaf out of Jamie's book and attempting to headbutt Billy. To Billy, it hurts like a real injury would---but it's harder to move a warrior that isn't solid.

"That's the least of your problematic attributes," counters Billy. "You seized control of me by makng me believe that my friends were not loyal. You used false memories to show me that I would be betrayed. And I believed you---there's no excuse for that, and the fault is mine."

Before Blue Ranger can grin too much, though, Billy continues: "Once, I may have faltered. A small part of me may have considered joining your cause. I am ashamed, believe me. But throughout this ordeal, you've proven yourself to be nothing but a slimeball. The very people you attempted to portray as slimeballs proved themselves to be honorable, loyal, and fair. They're not like you at all."

Here, he pauses to look out at the crowd: there's Renne, watching, Jamie and Adam off in the distance, and somewhere out here, everyone he knows is fighting for their lives. They're not giving up---and neither is he, as much as he might like to run. As he looks down to continue his speech, he notes that Blue is oddly silent.

"You changed your story repeatedly," he contrasts, jabbing Blue in the chest. "When it was convenient, you passed yourself off as the real me. When that no longer worked, you pretended that you'd killed me and hijacked this body. When that lie was exposed, you continued to change your story. And all the while, you utilized my hands to harm my friends."

Gearing up for the finale, he growls: "My friends are my family. I value them more than any possession---a fact you exploited quite effectively, I must concede. But now the advantage lies with me. With them by my side, I can accomplish anything---including getting rid of you! Unfortunately, my shadow, I'm not afraid anymore!"

Summoning every iota of strength in his half-present molecules, he leaps up, hauling Blue Ranger with him, and tosses him at a wall---upon impact, a white light flashes.
