Doctor doctor, gimme the news
After the meeting, and after some bickering with the Emergency Medical Hologram, down at the bottom of the Hub, Brainy is arranging the MedBay to his liking and familiarizing himself with the medical equipment and its functions.
Right now, for instance, as anyone walks in the door, he's wearing some sort of scanning goggles and a rather sinister-looking surgical glove with micro-scalpels, little lasers and surgical saws on the fingertips.
This makes him look like a green-faced Freddy Krueger with mad scientist goggles. For anyone that walks in like he instructed him to at the meeting, this is the first thing they see.
"Hmmmm."

Of course, the sight that greets him doesn't exactly inspire the greatest confidence, either. He pauses in the doorway and looks over his shoulder. Ah. Sorry, mate. Didn' realize you were busy. I'll call back later.
Like, maybe never. That sounds about right.

Oh.
"Ah, wait! I was just familiarizing myself with Stacy's...admittedly sinister-looking medical equipment."
Brainy takes off the glove and it retreats back into the ceiling, and pulls the goggles up on his head.
"Which, yes, I certainly agree appears somewhat crude and intimidating, especially compared to my equipment back home."

Whatever his reasoning, Sparhawk is there in the MedBay. One Knight, reporting for scanning.
"You planning to use that device, neighbour?"

But there's not getting round the fact that Sparhawk is curious about Brainiac. Yes, he's trying not to stare, but there is one question sitting on the tip of his tongue.
"Pardon the question, neighbour, but can I ask if you've always been green?"

Zuko, passing by on his way through the ship, narrows his fully functioning eye at the surgical glove.
"I don't even want to know what that's for."

Privately, Zuko is thinking that he wouldn't come to Brainy if his leg was broken in three places . . . but that's just the grudge talking.
". . . listen." Grudge or not, he has allies to make. "I need some string. A roll of twine - something long. Do you have any?"

He looks at Brainy, huddled on the floor with Koko, sniffs the air, and frowns.
"Why's it smell like fire in here? Did one of the bigger kids beat you up?"
no subject
And smashed the room up and burned some stuff. Yes. It was a big trip.
"The smell is from the scanner I broke when I fell into it."
Stacy tentacles are already repairing it, and he roots through the medical tools for a tissue regenerator to repair his face.
no subject
Allen starts picking up spare parts not already grabbed by the tentacles, watching the way the machinery is put back together and eyeing the burnmarks on the walls and technology.
"Are you okay? Anything not inorganic broken?"

The Chief's making good on his promise to let Brainy do that scan. He comes into the medical bay, eyes flicking over the various instruments with mild curiosity as he does so. It's not like any medical facility he's ever seen before, and he's well acquainted with hospitalization. It lacks the usual cool, environment-controlled, sterile feel of one. And some of the equipment looks positively medieval in terms of potential grislyness.
"Brainiac 5?" If he's guessing right, this apparition in goggles with rather frightening gloves is him...?

He paused in the doorway and took in the sight before him.
"That is quite disturbing. Bing."

A tiny little saw whirs.

And that glove was still giving him "the willies".
"You spoke of the laboratory earlier, during introductions." Before Brainy had gotten into an argument with the Doctor, and before Tobias had shown up. "I am very good with electronics. Where would you like me to start?"

Hoping for a friendlier face, she glances around at some of the other machinery. Uh. Hello, everyone. What's up?
