After the meeting, and after some bickering with the Emergency Medical Hologram, down at the bottom of the Hub, Brainy is arranging the MedBay to his liking and familiarizing himself with the medical equipment and its functions.

Right now, for instance, as anyone walks in the door, he's wearing some sort of scanning goggles and a rather sinister-looking surgical glove with micro-scalpels, little lasers and surgical saws on the fingertips.

This makes him look like a green-faced Freddy Krueger with mad scientist goggles. For anyone that walks in like he instructed him to at the meeting, this is the first thing they see.

"Hmmmm."

It's a bit disturbin', at the moment. Jono reachs up, rubbing at his face for a moment. Dunno why this is comin' as such a surprise, though. Got drafted t' play fairy battery for a glamour machine, once. Should've guessed there was more t' this.

He's reeling at the moment. It'll sink in eventually.

After he's done being scared out of his wits.

Guess this is what they were talkin' 'bout when the doc said I could be an Omega. So many things Ev could do with his powers that he couldn't. Because of the body limitations?

He's about to ask if 'Omega' is some kinda of power rating, but...

Erm. Well, sorta. In that they were fairies an' needed a power-up t' the machine what kept people from seein' 'em. His Gen X years were so very, very strange.

Even with only half a face, it's kind of amazing how expressive Jono's face is. Who knew eyes could do 'wry'?

Don' ask me, mate. All I was tol' was that they had some machine that they used t' keep 'em hidden from the world at large an' it was failing. So they needed me t' charge it up fer 'em. He pauses, then, Me secondary school was pretty odd all 'round.

Don't ask for examples. He'll pull out the duck.

"Now, what do you propose to do about your condition? You certainly have the option of going on as you are..."

Jono shrugs. Ain't so certain roight now that tryin' t' change it's such a good idea. On the other hand, it might make things easier dealing with the ship. On the other hand... Stacy gives me a fuckin' massive headache as it is if I ain't shieldin' proper.

"Technically, you'd no longer have a head if we were somehow able to free you, but yes, given the nature of this ship, the environment could be inhospitable to you then."

So he goes on as is.

"How do you want your medical information logged? Are electronic copies acceptable? I could memorize it, but it's tedious."

Ain't like we can't revisit this later, if we gotta. Not like any of them were going anywhere fast. They had some time to consider it.

He squints slightly, rubbing his thumb along his nose. Electronic's fine. Doubt there's much you could learn 'bout me that Stacy don' already know. And I ain't keepin' secrets from anybody here.

"I have enough information to treat you if you're injured," he says, logging everything. "If you have any difficulties due to psionic disturbances on the ship, let me know."

And that's it unless he wants to just stay and chat. Brainy's not much for idle chatter or a good bedside manner.

Jono nods, standing and dusting his hands off. Not that it's really needed, but he still does it. Always good t' have one less thing t' worry 'bout. And nobody being able to treat him HAD been a fairly major worry. Thanks.

And he'll head out. Because Jono's not really much of one for small chat, either.
