After the meeting, and after some bickering with the Emergency Medical Hologram, down at the bottom of the Hub, Brainy is arranging the MedBay to his liking and familiarizing himself with the medical equipment and its functions.

Right now, for instance, as anyone walks in the door, he's wearing some sort of scanning goggles and a rather sinister-looking surgical glove with micro-scalpels, little lasers and surgical saws on the fingertips.

This makes him look like a green-faced Freddy Krueger with mad scientist goggles. For anyone that walks in like he instructed him to at the meeting, this is the first thing they see.

"Hmmmm."

Danny, entering the room and seeing Brainy, begins to slowly back out.

"...maybe deciding to give you permission to re-scan me wasn't such a good idea."

"Get back in here. I'm just familiarizing myself with Stacy's medical technology," he says, putting it away.

"And freaking me out in the process." Danny replies, walking back in.

"Unintentional, I assure you."

A pause.

"What changed your mind?"

"Eh, mostly the fact that you were willing to apologize and actually started asking people for the scans. Plus, if the monkey likes you you can't be all bad."

Koko was sitting on top of some kind of fleshy monitor, grooming himself, and Koko scratched him on the head.

"Well, considering I find the monkey more tolerable than most people, it stands to reason he'd like me back."

He's just joking!

"Ha ha. Funny." Danny says, deadpan.

"So, how're we gonna do this? You just want to take a new scan, or do you want a DNA sample too?"

"Both, if you find that acceptable."

"Sure. Actually, we should probably do it for both of my forms. There's a bit of difference between them and it's not just the white hair and the glowing eyes."

"While you're in your current form, please step on the circle."

Danny, presently human, does so. "Ready. Let's do this thing."

Brainy starts the scans, looking over the results as the ring moves up and down Danny's body.

He frowns at what he sees.

"Anything wrong? Or is it more that this shouldn't be physically possible stuff?" Danny asks, noticing the frown.

"The latter."

Blast it.

"well, if you like that you're gonna love it when I'm in ghost mode." Danny says, and switches to said mode when the scan stops.

A new scan starts.

See the face, Danny? That face means, no, he doesn't love it. He loves when biology makes sense.

And when it's actually biology.

Danny, however, is wearing a shit-eating grin. Because Brainy's reactions amuse him to no end.

"This...is not possible. You are not possible..."

"And yet here I am, talking to you."

"You should be falling apart at the molecular level."

Danny takes on a more serious look, recalling the events of Dani's creation.

"Yeah, I know. Most attempts to clone me have done exactly that, and the only still-living and healthy attempt almost turned into goo along with them."

"Revert back to your human form and let me take the blood sample."

Danny de-ghosts, and holds out his arm.

A slight pinch later, and he has his sample, has it under the crazy-powerful microscope of Stacy's, then startles and pulls back from the microscope.

He rubs his eyes, looks again, then pulls back.
