Clef had known that he would eventually feel better, but he hadn't been expecting it to be this sudden. He had woken up feeling as though he could breathe after more than a week of being mentally suffocated by his grief over the apparent destruction of his homeworld. It had colored his mood and interactions with others even when he hadn't particularly been thinking about it, making him come off a little crabbier than normal, and he didn't really like being that person. He didn't like being the kind of person, either, who could think only of his little planet when there was an entire universe in danger. At least now he could think of other things.
There was hope, too - suddenly the thought that the lost worlds could be restored didn't sound so hollow or far away, nor the idea that people from home might still be sleeping in the pods. Anything was possible, and it was worth helping to make sure it happened or that those people woke up. So that's why he was taking a walk in Hydroponics, thinking and making plans. It was quiet here, and the parts that were forest reminded him of the forests of Cephiro no more or less than any other group of trees should - enough to serve as a pleasant background to his thoughts, but not so much as to evoke nostalgia.
Did I mention it was quiet?
It was very quiet. | | |

An area built over a bay, there is no actual solid ground anywhere to be found in Pirateland. It's a land made entirely of wooden walkways, nets to climb, and of course, wooden pirate ships to explore. And then there are the rides: A pirate ship that swings nearly upside down; bumper boats; a ride that starts out as a Tunnel of Love but quickly transitions into a drunken pirate-themed It's a Small World. And then, of course, there are the souvenirs to buy in the many assorted gift shops. Flimsy plastic swords, pirate hats, stuffed parrots. Or why not go get drunk down at the tavern? ((OOC: Like with Kittenland, feel free to come up with your own rides and attractions at Pirateland in addition to these ones!))- Tags:!location: planetside, !plot: shore leave, !status: open, daja kisubo, devlin levin, ian chesterton, nokosi, ronnae, sakura haruno, sandrilene fa toren, setsuna f. seiei

Atom zoomed through the sky of the City, the rocket thrusters in his boots cutting a bright blue trail through the open air. He glided under archways, skimmed a hand along the water of the River, zigzagged along streets and between abandoned buildings with dizzying speed. He found a sagging building and used a nearby fallen beam to shore it up; he came across a half-destroyed statue and carefully retrieved its missing head, placing it by the statue in case someone came along who could fix it. When he came to a stop, it was in an immense building, with high windows, ticket counters, and darkened lights. He recognized this place! He'd been here once; it was Grand Central Terminal. Now, however, there were no passengers milling about, waiting for their friends or family to arrive. He flew upward, perching on a nearby stone railing. Thracia, huh...? It brought back memories. Some new, some old... and some painful. [Takes place anywhere in the City, please specify if you want a particular location -- else it will be in Grand Central.] | | |

Medieval World was one of the largest year-round renaissance faires in the multiverse. Minstrels and bards wandered the streets, vendors sold ridiculously overpriced period clothing, jewelry, weapons, and turkey legs as big as a human's head, and the royal court mingled with the commoners. There were events everywhere: falconers, magicians, belly dancing, hypnotists, weapons competitions including swords, axes, maces, and bows, camel rides, Washing Well Wenches, fake jousting on wooden 'horses' suspended on ropes, and real jousting. As was typical of these sorts of events, anachronicity was everywhere, as were patrons in all sorts of fantasy costumes. Join in the fun! [OOC: Add things if you want, and go for it!
Also, if anyone wants to win a flower for their lady from the Wenches, contact Shae for NPCing. >:3]- Tags:!location: neuropathy, !location: planetside, !plot: shore leave, !status: open, ankh, aqua, asuna kagurazaka, elisa maza, erhart, goliath, hit girl, jamie mccrimmon, kang, linsha majere, metacrisis doctor, namira amell, negi springfield, ruffnut thorston

In an island area of the park is the sometimes staid, sometimes festive Yamato Sector (which seemed strangely familiar to some of the crew, no doubt). Souvenir swords? Okonomiyaki? Sunset beaches filled with the SPRINGTIME OF OUR YOUTH? Medieval warlords drinking wine from human (shaped) skulls? They're all here! A brightly-colored 'world' of balloons, mascots, rides, and glittery lights, Gold Planet was ever loud and ever entertaining. It was home to any number of typical attractions. Haunted houses, gondola rides, the Tunnel of Love, roller coasters, funnel cake, mirror houses, tacky T-shirts, and more! Of course, there was also the ever-popular Pecoco racetrack, home to large, colorful birds that could be bet upon and ridden.
