In an area centered around a large stadium, Happy Happy Fun World's celebration of one of the multiverse's many popular pastimes sat. CAPTCHABEASTS: Hafta Claim 'Em All. A sport, and widespread multimedia franchise, where people caught little semi-sentient super powered animals and had them beat the crud out of each other. Aside from Captchaland's Stadium, there were several other attractions. Musical Shows with singing Jinglyfluff's, a Merry-Go-Round where you could ride seats based on on some of the larger four-legged Captchabeasts instead of horses, Bumper Cars based on two teams of villains from the popular Captchabeasts animated holoshow, a Ferris Wheel with CaptchaCrate based cars, and a rollercoaster based on the legendary Skyzacoatl that looped over the stadium itself, among others. If you were feeling particularly adventurous and competitive, or just wanted to watch a battle, there was the aforementioned stadium. Spectators went through the main entrance, while a smaller doorway was reserved for competitors. Welcome to Kittenland, the most adorable place in Happy Happy Fun World! If you didn't like Kittenland, you probably had no soul at all. There was the Kitten Go Round, a Merry Go Round where everyone could ride a kitten; the Nyan Cat Coaster, a rollercoaster where the carriages were in the shape of kittens with pop tart bodies, racing along a rainbow track to the constant sound of ' nyanyanyanyan'; the Kitten Petting Corner (with real kittens!); and the Hello Kitty Teacups. And then there was the merchandise - the Nyan Cat Coaster had a shop of it's own, as did the Hello Kitty Teacups, both with a considerable range in merchandise; there was Kitten Candy, kitten t-shirts, kitten magnets, and more. Oddly enough though, you couldn't buy actual kittens. [ooc: Feel free to make up any other kitten related rides or merchanise if you want!]]- Tags:!location: planetside, !plot: shore leave, !status: open, aerith gainsborough, cazali, ellyn vitner, eva, marco, maxine hunkel/cyclone, okumura rin, okumura yukio, phillip, pram, rarity, red xiii (nanaki), sakura haruno, starfire

"Welcome-a to Videoland!" tells you an animatronic, rusted and chipping man. "My name is-a Somari the Spaceman! It's-a very good to see you, woohoo, ha ha!!" Next to him a green (also chipped and rusted) fat Hedgehog statue dressed in green and with a leather outfit stands close doing a peace sign. "And I'm his good buddy, Scory the Porcupine! Welcome to Videolang Buddy!" Ahh Videoland! Popular no less than ten years ago, it has began a recent decline compared to the other parts of Happy Happy Land due to most of their clientele simply growing too old for it and going off to the other parts of the planet. Still waiting for a new deal with a game provider to use their licenses, it becomes older and more jaded, still trying to have the same magic as a while ago, but the dream being long gone. The world is now a dangerous combination of video games bordering bootleg and strange creatures and things that are just the right amount off not to be written as simple copied parodies. Costumed men and women wear the suits of the mascots, and a few pretty girls wearing the Princess Lana, Ruler of Videolandâ„¢ costume don't look as bright and cheerful as they should be. Every four hours, there's a Captain N: The Gamemaster show, with the typical theme park overacting and asking kids questions as anagrammatic versions of Mother Brains, Eggplant Wizard & King D'ippo capture her and have to be saved by Rock N' Rollman, Solomon Belmont, Kid Icarus and, of course, Captain N, the Game Master. Everything seems sort of wrong. Like a marketing gimmick that caught on. The annoying young kids seem to like the show, mind you. However if you're not here to watch terrible theater productions, the park is divided into six subsections, accessible by a monorail. Well, when the monorail is working anyway (and it is today! LUCKY YOU!) When you arrive you are standing near the Palace of Power, large, impressive (and pink) castle that apparently belongs to Princess Lana. ( KONGOLAND! Where arcades and tropical food reigns. )( SPACEPIRATE LAND! Your Horror XTREME!!! COME GET YOUR HOROSCOPE. )( MEGALAND, Futuristic theme part of rides and booths...available TODAY! )( MOUNT ICARUS....LAND! It's where the kids go while their parents go elsewhere )( CASTLEVANIALAND! The medieval land of horror, magic and the biggest coaster! )With all these sections it might take a while! Or you'll just run off in horror to another park and never, ever look back. - Tags:!location: planetside, !plot: shore leave, !status: open, asuka langley soryu, aya brea, cedric diggory, hay lin, hit girl, jamie mccrimmon, kang, kanoe zouichi, lash, pram, ren akiyama, ronnae, satellizer el bridget, sonic the hedgehog, stephen valkonan, ted, victoria waterfield, vindicator nehaalista

While Serenity had weathered the last fight amazingly well given she'd been plunged into the midst of a war to devour an entire world, both the damage from the fight, and the Firefly's own advanced age and at times cheaply funded state of repair, meant it was time for Mal to go scrounging for parts for his home.
Of course, there were probably plenty of facilities on Stacy that would have been able to supply him with who knew what futuristic wonders, but given he still had yet to get used to feeling like his clothes were trying to digest him, he wasn't letting any of that biotech crap anywhere near his girl. Of course, that meant he had to go for the alternative, plunging deeper into the City than he had gone before, to find something he could scavenge, preferably without getting shot at by a put out owner. Using the Drunken Dragon as a starting point, he'd made the decision to start out by making his way south, into the areas that had been less well documented by the crew. With any luck, he would be able to find something usable that wasn't claimed by anyone.
Of course, given how his luck usually went, he'd also brought along his gun, just in case. Slinging a large bag for any small portables he might find, he checked his makeshift map and stepped away from the tavern.
"Gonna be a nice simple walk. Find the place, mark it, get out. Nice and simple."
Talking to himself probably wasn't a good sign. | | |

Welcome, dear visitor, to a world consisting entirely of plastic-looking city sets. My, don't they look ready to blast apart at a moment''s notice? It's almost as if an attack is expected in this sector.
But not to worry! The 'attacks' here are just goofy entertainment. Lovably laughable employees in dull green suits may make menacing gestures at times, but they're just a nuisance. The visitors to this section are protected by the Masked Rangers, the people in heavy helmets and spandex suits you might see from time to time. The acrobat-types, the ones in the flimsy suits, perform tricky stunts and wave 'blasters' that shoot a cheap spark effect from time to time. Driver-types wear heavier armor and traverse this section of the park in their specialized motorcycles, zipping down specialized roadways seemingly from nowhere.
Other than that, the environment is fairly industrial. The main attractions are in the 'abandoned warehouse district'. It features greasy food (and surprisingly good smoothies, strangely enough), alarm bells every now and then, and the crowning ride of this sector: an exciting cart ride through the warehouses that culminates in riding atop a giant mecha. The vibrations as the mech carrying the vehicle shoots its lasers are quite unsettling the first time or two, and riding through the smoke cloud of a post-henshin explosion can cause mild fits of coughing. This adventure is not for the faint of heart.
Simpler shows are done in the park-like area, where a few of the more acrobatic employees in helmets and flimsy costumes seems to dance-fight with several of the mooks. It's a cute show, and the only exciting thing is the spread of the explosion. It shoots up in a rainbow of colors when the heroes make a pose. Games can be played here, but always be ready to clear out and make way for the heroes! A little parade of motorcycles and mecha comes through several times a day, and masked characters address the audience with well-prepared safety tips and suggestions for community service.
Gift shops in this area feature knockoff Masked Ranger costumes, transformation toys that light up, toy mecha and motorcycles that combine in many very expensive combinations, and little sparkler lights. Fortunately, actual material for an explosion is not sold.
This nonsense might feel strangely familiar... - Tags:!location: planetside, !plot: shore leave, !status: open, billy cranston, kon-el, mark allan/molten man, phillip, shoutarou hidari, tenaya, tetsuwan atom/astro boy, tim drake/red robin
