Sooo...Meet-y

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their number. After the recent revelation, many of them were even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Brainiac 5 and Sensor were set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

"I wasn't going to kill him," Damian grumbled. He could hurt Todd plenty without actually killing him. "I'm not the murderer here." Anymore, at least. He'd promised Father.

"See?" Damian pointed at Todd. "He'd still kill." Never mind the fact that Damian kind of agreed with him that the Joker should die. That wasn't the point.

"He didn't say he'd kill, either," Dick pointed out. Semantics, because Jason probably would. "Though I should probably note for the both of you that attacking other crew members will net you Violations. And fifteen of those lead to Punishment." He held up his hand. "So far, nobody's gotten fifteen, so we don't know what Punishment is. But given that this is a former prison ship and the subsystem that was handing out the warnings? I'd really rather neither of you find out."

Okay, he didn't know Damian. That didn't mean he wanted the kid to go through whatever Stacy would devise.

Jason wanted to kick the walls. He'd gotten a violation his first day here. Which was lame as the kid he was talking to had completely deserved getting his nose busted.

"Just what Dick said. I wouldn't kill him." He smirked a bit, not even looking at either of the two he was talking to. "There are worse things than death you know."

Damian could handle a Punishment, whatever it was, he was sure. But that wasn't the point. For whatever reason, Grayson was protecting Todd. Sentimental fool.

Damian was silent for a moment, then gave Todd a hard look before turning to Grayson.

"I won't hurt him. For now, at least. But I don't trust him, and should he step out of line, I will hurt him. Violations or no."

Dick was pretty certain they could all handle a Punishment if they had to. He just didn't want to see any of them have to.

He nodded at Damian's promise. "All right. But if he steps out of line, that's my job." He straightened, pinching the bridge of his nose. "For now, maybe opposite sides of the deck would be the best idea."

"I'm all game for that. Keep the brat on that side, and I'll stay on this one." And with that he turned to leave. He had spotted something out of the corner of his eye and needed to go and check it out. Green. One of the Lanterns was here, and if it were Kyle, well this place might have just got more bearable.
