Sooo...Meet-y

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their number. After the recent revelation, many of them were even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Brainiac 5 and Sensor were set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

"Yes I just met her a while ago," said Matt, "shortly after my pop actually. She encouraged me to tell my girlfriend who's on this ship that I was hiding magic from her."

"She suspects it's due to Raising Heart. If you know Nanoha that means you have one of those device things too?" asked Matt curiously.

"I do," Fate held up the triangular pendant she had been talking to a while ago. "All mages where we come from have Intelligent Devices. Say hello, Bardiche!"

"Hello, sir." Said the pendant in a synthetic male voice.

"Those are really neat," declared Matt with a grin. "We really don't have anything like that back home. Just spells, talismans and other trinkets."

He held up his hand and the empty Heart of Kandrakar appeared in it. "This is one of those things, a containment device for magic. It's modeled on the Heart of Kandrakar, and is in essence, simply an outer shell of it."

"Sort of rough potential to be given to someone," said Matt.

"Heart of Kandraker? What's that?" She asked. Fate was a skilled mage, of course, but she didn't know much about magical items and artifacts outside of the Jewel Seeds and Relics.

"The Heart of Kandrakar is the Heart of a World, the source of magic for a world. Will possesses the actual Heart, and it contains the five elements that make up a Heart: Earth, Fire, Wind, Water and Quintessence or the Heart." explained Matt as pink light swirled around the interior of the containment bauble.

"It can be used by a group of Guardians for that world. Most of the time a Heart is contained within an item or person. Every world has one, or at least that's how it goes."
