Sooo...Meet-y

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their number. After the recent revelation, many of them were even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Brainiac 5 and Sensor were set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

A very short boy in a mask was scowling at him.

"I didn't realize they allowed criminals here," he said.

"They do?" Lex looked around. "Interesting that. Perhaps I should keep an eye out for them."

Damian was not amused. "I thought they had you locked up. Really, I'm fairly sure it was better that way."

"That would be difficult, considering I've never been arrested." Well, there was that one time, but it was a set up and the charges were dropped. "But I've also never been President of the United States. Nor have I ever met anyone arrogant enough to refer to themselves as a 'super man'."

Welcome to alternate realities 101, junior.

"I've also never seen kids dress up in ridiculous masks outside of Halloween, so I suggest you find somewhere else to trick or treat."

"Tsk." He frowned at Luthor. "I am Robin, and had I not sworn to my father otherwise, I could kill you where you stand in seven different ways."

"Someone named you Robin?" Lex shook his head. What was with some parents these days, giving their children such unfortunate names.

"I pity you when you get to middle school and high school. You'll need to kill people where they stand seven different ways if you want to avoid getting swirlies."

"It isn't a name, it's a title. I wouldn't expect you to understand." He also had no interest in attending school. He had more important things to do.

Well, he wouldn't. Because they don't really have superheroes in his world. Unless you count the Green Arrow, but no one does, considering how lame he is.

"I probably wouldn't, especially if all you keep speaking is utter nonsense."

Hey, they'd agree on that, at least! Green Arrow is kind of lame.

"It makes perfect sense. Just because you aren't intelligent enough to understand it doesn't make it nonsense."

Seriously lame. Arrows went out of fashion in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.

"It is nonsense. Either that, or you have no understanding of alternate realities, so you haven't realized you're not even talking to the Lex Luthor of your world.

"I've never met anyone who was given a rather girly sounding title like 'Robin.'"

He snorts. "That's obvious. I realized that almost from the start. That doesn't make it nonsense."

He doesn't respond to the girly sounding title bit. As with so many things, he blames Grayson.

"'Almost from the start'," he pointed out. "And it's still utter tripe."

"I find assuming everyone's from a different universe is utterly stupid. For me, at least. For you it might be correct." Not his universe's Luthor, still not very pleasant. This is not a case of the pot calling the kettle black, what are you talking about? "Your lack of understanding proves nothing except your own lack of knowledge. And I see no reason I should enlighten you."

"Which is your long winded way of saying that you can't any of it in a few coherent sentences because it is, in fact, utter tripe." Lex seemed to be amused by this kid, even if he was arguing with a ten year old.

Yes, Lex, you're arguing with a ten year old. I hope you're proud of yourself.

"What part of it is, as you say, tripe? It all seems perfectly clear to me."

The meatship lacks cable. He has to entertain himself somehow.

"All of it, Robin," he stated as he mussed up Damian's hair.

Damian's eyes narrowed. He grabbed Luthor's wrist and flipped him to the ground. Hard. He crouched over him. "You will not touch me."

Luthor might not, but several tentacles will, all of which restrain Damian and yank him off of Lex.

"Unhand me!" Damian shouted, struggling against the tentacles.
