Sooo...Meet-y

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their number. After the recent revelation, many of them were even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Brainiac 5 and Sensor were set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

Static floated over on his disk. He'd stopped caring about looking for people he knew from the old team; it just wasn't gonna happen. He accepted that.

"Hey. You look confused. Anything I can do to help?"

"Hi there!" Tora gave a bright smile and a welcoming waggle of fingers before her hands hooked together behind her back.

"Umm well I am new I guess, I just came up from the cavern down there, so I'm just really trying to understand all this." She shrugged a little. "I'm Tora by the way."

"Virgil, but most people around here call me Static." He jumped down off his disk and folded it back up into his pocket. "Well, I've been here a few months, so I'd be happy to answer any questions you have. Thinkof me as your electric tour-guide." He smiled.

Tora smiled, she seemed to do that a lot and it just looked natural on her face. "Static, it is a pleasure to meet you."

Tora looked around the room and felt very small. "I am sure I will need your help before long. Right now it is all just a bit overwhelming and I need to let it sink in."

"yeah... that feeling never really goes away. Something is always happening here, and there's always more and more people to meet." He shrugged. "You get used to that. What you never really get used to are the meaty walls."

"Life is change, nature, seasons. One leads to another and they are never the same. I find the change comforting, where there is change, there is life." Meaty walls, now that was something to make her squirm. She it back some bile and tried to accept it with grace. "Oh..well that sounds... Actually it sounds pretty awful."

"Ah, but season have a time frame. Entropy is always moving, but it moves slowly. Even Bart and Wally have some trouble keeping up with all that goes on around here. Batman seems to be the only one who actually does keep track. Well, him and the Captain, but really, he's the Captain." He paused for a minute, seeming to think about something.

What, I have no idea.

"You know, if the meaty walls give you too much trouble, you should stop by Outsiders Plaza down in the city sometime. It isn't much, but it's not meat."

"Batman is here?" Of all he said that seemed to be the only thing sinking in. That and the offer of the outsiders. Tora blinked and smiled wide, already she had been offered a sort of home and friendship! Oh this was really a fine place indeed.

"I would like to see it very much!"

"several, actually. The original, Nightwing, the other Robins, the guy who became Batman for a while back in the 90's, and one from the future. We're Batmanned up." He grinned; he doubted she'd get the real joke there, but it was still funny to him, and that was what mattered.

"Outsiders Plaza is down in the city. It's an old Marriott hotel. Once you get bored looking around, you should definitely swing by. We're always up to something."
