Sooo...Meet-y
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their number. After the recent revelation, many of them were even more eager to see people they knew from home.
Brainiac 5 and Sensor were set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings.
There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

Will makes a cursory attempt to wipe the tears out of her eyes before Matt sees they're there. "It's . . . that's what they say. The Daligig. That the Ohm destroyed our worlds, and the Daligig rescued us, and now we're at war with the Ohm. We just found out, after -"
Does she want to talk about the zombie wars right now? No, not really.
"What's the last thing you remember?"

But would she feel the same?
no subject
"Stuck in a book?"
The Karmilla thing is awesome, but they'll have to get to it later.

"... what was the last thing you remember?" asked Matt with a bit of a sinking feeling. Oh please god not during Phobos round one...

It seems like so long ago.

Taking a deep breath and remembering what he was told he held Will out at arm's length. "Don't freak out okay but from the time I'm from, it's three years later. And you told me. Everything."
"And that's not all..." He closed his eyes. "I knew... from the beginning that you were magical. I'm the captain of Kandrakar's Guard, the grand leader. I'm strong, powerful, and magically capable. I'm sorry for hiding it from you for such a long time."

Then goes to confusion.
Then disbelief.
Then - "What?"

And Matt told her everything, how one day she decided he needed to know. She wanted him to be safe. About Phobos, Cedric, how Orube got close to Cedric and watched him die at the end of the events of the Book of Ludmoore. How he went on a journey with Karmilla, and wound up having memories unlocked of his time being in the Captain position of the Kandrakar Knights.
"This is my power," said Matt finally, holding up a hand an a empty Heart of Kandrakar container appeared in it, his hand trailed with soft pink light. "I can take magic, and store it here. When the Dark Mother was to wake, I was to take your powers, and open you up to the stronger essences of the world. Unfortunately that didn't pan out at all, and I would have come back, well, not myself. A jerk I guess you'd call me."
He sighed. "Are you still confused Will?"
no subject
"Matt, I remember that date." She squeezes his hand. "I know you know."
As for the rest of the stuff - she looks at the magic, the familiar tingle of Quintessence, the strange story of her Normal Boyfriend being magical all along (not that she didn't always think he was special).
"So . . . you have powers now, and you're a Knight of Kandrakar, you could be a jerk but you're not, and . . . anything else?"
Just so she has everything straight.

He blushed. "Forgive me? I hadn't honestly remembered until now."
no subject
"Forgive you? Matt, I'm just glad to see you again." Those tears in her eyes might be more from joy now. He's here, he's not helpless, and she doesn't have to worry about him 100% of the time! "I was beginning to think I never would!"

This was what made life worth living. Seeing the girl he loved in his arms. And now he was free of stress and relieved that he didn't have to hide anything.
