Sooo...Meet-y

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their number. After the recent revelation, many of them were even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Brainiac 5 and Sensor were set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

"Sorry to disappoint," he rolls his eyes, "Put that damn thing away, Guy. Of all the things on this ship you want to hit me? I know I'm near the top but there has to be someone here more deserving of your talents."

He glared for a minute, then let his ring power down. "If you make a move for my heart, I'm blasting you into pieces."

He blinks. The look Bruce shoots him is one that... well, you don't usually see surprise on Batman's face.

"... Guy? Are you actually getting more stupid? I told you to start hitting people with your fists and not your head, remember?"

Guy scowls. "It ain't stupid at all. Dead people are rising left and right. Why are you th'one to come back really alive and not tryin' to kill us all?"

"I guess Darkseid made a lousy job of it just to spite you. What do you mean, 'dead rising'?"

"What, you don't know?" Guy smirks a little. Batman doesn't know everything.

He rolls his eyes again, "I couldn't my mail forwarded to me in the afterlife, Guy. Postage was astronomical."

He looks more serious now. "Then you've missed all our friends and loved ones poppin' out of their graves. Your kids are probably dealin' with their dead parents as we speak. I get to fight all the Lanterns I've ever known and lost. It ain't pretty."

"My 'kids' are here, Guy," his jaw tightens, "We've got ghosts of our own, but none that we recognise."

"Well, that's why I thought you'd try and tear out my heart. But you haven't tried to yet, and you ain't rotting, and my ring says you're alive, so you're safe."

Bruce practically snorts, "I wasn't worried."

"Yeah, well, I was." Not for his sake, or Bruce's, but because dealing with a Black Lantern? Not fun.

"Colour me flattered, Guy," he replies neutrally, "Just... don't go wading into anything ring-first until I get a chance to brief you and the rest of our party."

Because yeah, there had already been enough stand-offs on this ship to last a lifetime. Bruce would know, he started a few of them.
