The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their number. After the recent revelation, many of them were even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Brainiac 5 and Sensor were set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

Khel raised both hands, the metal of his gauntlets rusting and melting away, revealing ten bleached and ring-free digits. "And dost thou see a ring upon my person, knave?"

"Could be an illusion. You assholes almost killed Kyle. Think I'm taking any chances?" Still, he hesitated. He wasn't going to kill an innocent... skeleton.

"If thou wouldst merely take the proper time to let thyself think and consider what thou hath observed, then might thou see I am no threat to thee." Khel was growing irritated now, not at the confinement he was facing, but rather the man's sheer unwavering stupidly stubborn self-assured conclusions.

"I am no Black Lantern. I am a Death Knight, an undead warrior and one of twelve in existence. My name is Khel no'Gran, and I seek atonement for a sin five and ten centuries past." He placed his hand against the force field, the gauntlets restored. The old shame of what he was and the things he had done over the millennia surged, and he hung his head.

"I am no danger to thee. And believe me, were thou capable of truly destroying me, I might have welcomed it."

Being not a Black Lantern, the skeleton has backup. 9 feet of growling, angry backup.

"Your dispute is not known to me, but my friend stands not alone. If it is a battle you seek, I will take you at your word."

Psh, he's faced bigger. Guy's pretty much convinced the skeleton's not a Black Lantern, but if you flex at him, he'll flex back. "If you wanna try and take me, I ain't backing down."

Goliath has no patience for a fight that is not in defense of something. "A gargoyle does not fight for sport. Do you threaten my brother, or do you not?"

"Brother, huh? Not much family resemblance. Though equally ugly." He frowned. "Your brother looked far too much like the guys I was fighting just before I showed up in this carcass of a space ship. I'm pretty convinced he ain't one, but if he does a wrong move, towards my friends, then yeah, I'll hurt him."

Why is everything with humans always about blood relation? This has always baffled Goliath and it always will. "Looks deceive," he says, though his voice is still more a growl in his throat than a human voice would be. As it becomes clear there is no need for a fight, he relaxes from his battle stance, draping his wings around his shoulders. "Consider yourself bound to the same conditions. I take my clan's safety very seriously."
