Sooo...Meet-y

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their number. After the recent revelation, many of them were even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Brainiac 5 and Sensor were set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

Bruce comes up behind him, unmasked, in his own fleshy onesie. Unlike Ollie's, his carries a great number of battle scars, suggesting he's been here a lot longer than a few minutes.

"It's not going to bite, Ollie."

Hal turned around because of a familiar voice. And sure enough, it was who he thought it was. Batman-- I mean Bruce. With the same suit. Only with said battle scars. Is this what had been going on with him? He was supposed to be dead, right? But Hal tried to keep his wits about him.

"It looks like it bit you already, Bruce."

Late reply is late.

Ollie continues to play and poke at the suit, even as the familiar voices are heard. "Hal?" He asks before turning around to be greeted with the sight of the familiar Green Lantern. "Well, holy crap, glad I ain't the only one stuck here." Even hearing the voice of Bruce approach - what would normally be something Ollie would protest, is now appreciated. He's actually quite happy to see there are others here who he knows.

"Okay, so either of you know what the hell is goin' on here? Or why that thing spat me out and put me in this get-up?" He then realizes something and blinks. "We're not," his voice lowers a bit in tone to just a whisper, "captives, are we?"

Bruce shoots Hal a sly grin, "Actually, it was the pirates who were the biters."

He looks conspiratorially from one to the other. It's amazing how quickly he slips back into the League meeting mentality, after months of playing the guerilla crewman, "I can tell you what we're supposed to believe. We're not captives here, we're refugees."

"So I'm a refugee from being thrown into the batsignal is what you're saying," Hal slyly responded back to the bat. Of course, the utter sarcasm was meant to be noted, but it's actually what happened right before he noticed that he was covered in that slimy goo.

"I'll keep that in mind."

"I dunno, but after being popped outta whatever-the-hell-that-was, refugee ain't exactly what first came to mind." Ollie's voice is still low, well, he's at least trying not to get upset and loud.

"So then, since we're refugees - where the hell is this place, and what the hell am I a refugee from?" He breathes and then shifts his gaze to look out around the crowd. "Cause I'm really not liking this at all..."

"This place is a supersentient spaceship, capable of transdimensional travel," it's odd that such a spectacle could be summed up in such a brief statement, but they'd all seen far stranger in their time. Bruce turns to gesture out through the great window of the observation deck, which peers out into a swirling, tumultuous mass of red, "And we're currently travelling through what's known in our universe as 'the Bleed'. It's the space between dimensions. Hal, you ought to ask Kyle about that, I know he's traversed it before."

He doesn't turn around, if only to save himself from the reaction he can only expect from them when he says what he has to say, "Our universe is gone. An extradimensional force known as the Ohm is, brick by brick, systematically removing the omniverse from time and space. That is, if anything we've been told is to be believed."

Bruce's tone as he voices that last sentiment makes it clear that he's treating these claims with absolute cynicism until he can get some hard facts.
