Sooo...Meet-y

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their number. After the recent revelation, many of them were even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Brainiac 5 and Sensor were set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

"I was worried about you. I mean, the dead were coming back, who knows where that'd put you. But you're okay, that's the important thing." He kissed her.

Hello dip kiss. Tora melted, ironic action for someone of her name and talents. Her arms wrapped 'round the barrel chested Lantern and she kissed back softly. Heart fluttering and mind filling with sweet fluffs of cotton candy.


In the immediate area around them a pretty light scattering of snow began to fall. Giant pretty flakes of intricate crystalline forms, the kind seen in greeting cards and animated Christmas specials, drifted in a halo around the pair.

He pulled back and grinned when he saw the snow. "Beautiful, Tora."

"Oh, Guy."

Tora blushed and smiled at him, dusting of snow falling onto her white hair and the tip of her nose.

"I missed you."

"I missed you too." He smiled back and ran a hand through her hair. "I'm glad you're here. I mean, weird as this place is. And I wish you could be somewhere less disturbing and tentacle-filled, but I'm glad you're with me."

"This place is strange, but it is good to see you. I had thought you were so angry with me you wouldn't want to speak to me again. When you left... well I was worried."

Her cheek leaned to rest in his palm, soft smile curving her lips at his tenderness.

Guy frowned. "I was angry? I mean, I've been frustrated about how how hard it's been to start back up where we left off, but I'm not angry. Why'd I be angry?"

"After we fought... I mean things were tense after Superman died. I know I was cold for a while, but things were just so difficult. I didn't mean to drive you away like I did."

The guilt was obvious, she still felt badly for it, even if his own anger had been a large part of their split.

He gave her a concerned look. "That was years ago. I mean, that was right before you d--" his eyes widened. "Oh, Tora." He hugged her close.

"Oh, Guy. It felt like forever to me too. Every day without you was endless."

He hugged her, so maybe this was their way back to being good with each other. Her arms wrapped tightly around him and held on.

"I never stopped caring about you though, not once."

"Me neither, babe." It had been so much longer than that for him, but it was true. "I'll try not to get angry again." He didn't know if he could now that he'd lived so long without Tora. He didn't want to go through living without her again.

She laughed and patted his cheek. "Oh Guy, you don't have to be anything but what you are. That's the Guy Gardner I fell in love with."
