Sooo...Meet-y

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their number. After the recent revelation, many of them were even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Brainiac 5 and Sensor were set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

She couldn't tell, but Nanoha had a feeling that the blonde girl was a bit younger than her - and looked almost as anxious as she remembered feeling, if the way she held her blades was any indication.

She smiled in a way she hoped was comforting. "It's okay to be a bit confused. It happens to everyone, you know."

Rikku shook her head so hard her braids fell around her face. "But everyone's not here," insisted Rikku softly, "Why me? Why just me?" She wasn't a leader or okay on her own. She wanted Yuna and Paine with her so badly, but they were nowhere to be found.

Her smile softened considerably. "I know how hard it is to be alone here. But I'm sure your friends are waiting down in the pod cavern - Stacy said our loved ones are here too. It just might be a while before they wake up."

It brightened again. "Besides there's tons of great people here on the ship, too. Just look at it as a chance to make some more friends you wouldn't have ever met."

Rikku managed a smile as she listened to Nanoha explain, nodding. "Okay," she said, "At least they're safe." She looked back at the direction where she'd come from the pods, shuddering a bit as she remembered, then turned back to Nanoha.

"Um, could you explain what's going on?" she asked, "I was kind of freaking out the whole time that voice was in my head, so I didn't quite catch all of what was said." She waved one of her hands gently, careful not to swing the blade.

Nanoha exhaled for a moment before looking Rikku in the eyes. People had to learn sometime.

"It's... not an easy thing to hear, but everyone needs to know it. You should... probably try to brace yourself."

Rikku blinked, then moved her feet to plant them firmly on the ground. "Consider me braced," she said with a nod.

"We're here because there's a race of aliens called the Ohm, and they... attack and destroy worlds, galaxies, and even entire universes." Nanoha paused to let that sink in. "We're here to help fight them, but that's not all of it. We weren't abducted, we were rescued... because the Ohm have already destroyed the universes we've all come from."

"Stacy said that our friends and loved ones are safe - they're all here in the pods, even if they haven't woken up yet. But the worlds we come from... they're all gone. We need to stop the ones who did it."
