After the most recent pod-pop had been completed, Stacy began encouraging the crew towards the Obs Deck. They would be most effective if they were familiar with each other, and as the Jaime Reyes Incident had proved, leaving them to meet whenever they happened to cross paths was not effective.

Anyone who stepped into the Hub would be transported to the Obs Deck, no matter where they had intended to go. Those who had been exploring the City were verbally herded towards the Hub, although the energy tentacles did not make an appearance.

The Obs Deck hadn't changed very much since they'd last been there. The creepy sculpture was still present, as were the fleshy couches. However, the couches were arranged in a more obvious circle this time.

Come and meet the new -- and in some cases, weirder -- members of your crew.

A snort of surprise escaped Red's nostrils as his jaw snapped shut. "A ship?" If this was true, he had much bigger things to think about than how to properly mimic human gestures. He took several quick steps closer to the display.

"That means the sun and sky of the city must be artificial. Which means this is..." He trailed off, not wanting to say the word. If it was what he thought, he might not be amoung friends...

"Means, this is a ship. Livin' one, o'course." Connor's not quite sure what big and scaly is getting at; it seemed fairly straightforward to Connor, even though the whole living ship thing creeped him out.

"Amazing what they can do with holograms these days, isn't it," Leni muttered to herself, her tone entirely deadpan, as she rubbed idly at the back of her neck. It wasn't as if she wasn't used to seeing less-than-real skies, but this whole arrangement had made her bitter about more or less everything involved in it.

Red tilted his head, looking first at Connor, then at Leni. An awkwardly long pause hung in the air before he scratched at his snout and continued.

"Ah. Uhm. Yes, amazing. So then, nothing about this 'ship' strikes you as odd?"

Obviously it was striking him as odd, but it seemed evident from his voice that Red's version of "odd" was something outside the realm of organic goo, holograms and outer space travel.

"The whole fuckin' thing is fuckin' weird, you've gotta stop freakin' out at some point, you'll drive yourself fuckin' crazy."

Murphy leaned against his brother, arm draped over Connor's shoulder, nodding. "I mean, we were fuckin' dumped out of a fuckin' snot bath. An' have ya seen where we're meant to sleep? Seriously! It don't stop bein' weird, anywhere."

"Yeah, we're definitely working with different definitions of 'odd'. Ours included you, for one." And still did, but Leni had a little more tact than that. "So aside from the obvious, what's weird about all this to you?"

The back of Red's throat let out a series of strange, soft honking-clacking sounds as he clicked his jaw. A polite chuckle for Tiss'shar, but it probably sounded something like a four-year-old swinging on a broken door to any other species. "Well, aside from the 'snot bath,' ...there's the entire ship's construction. World ships are a very limited Imperial design."

There, he should be able to gauge from their responses what side they were on. It was just nuetral enough that if they were pro-Empire he likely wasn't giving himself away.

"World ships? Th' fuck're you talking about, man? Is that what this thing is?" The response, from Connor at least, was confusion.

"Jesus fuck," Murphy added, looking around again with renewed interest. Make that two confused, table MacManus, please?

The weird noises emanating from the raptor were getting a smidge unsettling. Leni tried to keep her attention focused on more relevant matters. "I wouldn't know. All I've ever been on are shuttles and a couple of cargo ships. Anything on this scale is... beyond anything I've ever heard of."

She frowned and crossed her arms, tilting her head slightly. "So this isn't normal for you, either? Couldn't have guessed."

Red took a moment to gauge their responses. The two male Humans probably weren't feigning confusion. Generally fakes involved less profanity. The woman seemed more focused, but still sincere. That...was good. Or at least, he hoped it was.

"It appears to be a world ship. But I can't be positive. I have never been on board one before, and this does seem a bit out of the norm for the Empire. Too...organic, really." He clicked quietly to himself again, looking towards the sculpture. "I am not sure if this is really normal for any civilized sentients, to be honest."

"So, what, World ship: Does what it says on the tin, or something? Jesus fuck, this shit gets weirder and weirder."

Connor actually manages a thoughtful look for a moment. "An' if it's not normal for anyone, how th'fuck did it happen?"

Murphy cuffed his brother over the head. "Did ya not pay any fuckin' attention to the tour? Alternate universes an' shit? It's obviously fuckin' normal to somebody, whoever the fuck that is."

"Probably is for Stacy, since she's the one running the place." Leni shot a pointed glare ceilingward. "Whatever she is--I've got no idea if she meets the definition of 'civilized sentients'."
