25th-Aug-2008 10:26 pm - Meet'n Greet Part Deux
Obs Deck usually had the most people at any given time. It was a large comfortable room, and it had places to sit.

This was where Leela led Kurt.

"Looks like we got some new people other'n you," she said, gesturing with her thumb towards a floating boy with a leather jacket that was mingling with other people nearby. Looked like there were a few others, too.

"You wanna meet the bosslady first or just everybody?"

Pat had found himself exploring the city, and discovered two things thus far: one, that seeing an entire city looking so empty unnerved him in a vague sort of way, and two, the sight of all those buildings made Toxin restless.

C'mon, pops. I've been good. No biting, no mauling, no even threatening to when people're acting stupid. And I was behaving myself even before we got here, remember?

Pat frowned and didn't answer, deciding to peer up at something that he supposed was the equivalent of a skyscraper. A few tendrils snuck out of his shirt collar and poked at him. Please? Anybody gets the wrong idea and I'll let you take care of it. No fights. Come on, I'm bored in here.

Pat sighed, glancing down at one of the tendrils and raising an eyebrow. "No deciding to change your mind about fighting at the last minute."

Would I do that? The tendrils just got a look in return. Trust me, I won't. So can I come out now?

"Only for a few hours," Pat warned as he nodded and more tendrils burst out and the rest of his clothing went decidedly goopier. Toxin grinned toothily as he was given control, and stretched for a moment before scrambling up the side of a building. He glanced around for a moment before web-slinging off, setting out in hopes of finding something more interesting than abandoned buildings.

After the most recent pod-pop had been completed, Stacy began encouraging the crew towards the Obs Deck. They would be most effective if they were familiar with each other, and as the Jaime Reyes Incident had proved, leaving them to meet whenever they happened to cross paths was not effective.

Anyone who stepped into the Hub would be transported to the Obs Deck, no matter where they had intended to go. Those who had been exploring the City were verbally herded towards the Hub, although the energy tentacles did not make an appearance.

||Please report to the Obs Deck for Crew Introductions.||

The Obs Deck hadn't changed very much since they'd last been there. The creepy sculpture was still present, as were the fleshy couches. However, the couches were arranged in a more obvious circle this time.

Come and meet the new -- and in some cases, weirder -- members of your crew.

20th-Jul-2008 11:34 pm - mr. blue sky please tell us why
Red was not sure which was distracting him more...The fact that this city seemed to remind him of everywhere and nowhere at once, or the fact that he was now wearing a skin-tight suit that seemed to pulsate with living veins but smelled of plants.

After the strange creature following him in the Pod Caverns had disappeared, he hadn't seen another living being. Well, unless you counted this entire city. He was certain now that it was a city. Once he emerged onto the surface, he could see the sky and this planet's star...but that still didn't answer the question of where he was. Whatever Stacy was, her exceptionally literal interpretation of questions meant that Red wasn't getting the answers he was looking for.

Hopefully when he found another being, they'd be slightly more helpful. He needed more information on this place if he was ever going to find out what being "chosen" meant, or if he was needed back at the Rebel base. He would have to be careful with any other sentients he came across, just in case they were allied with the Imperials...

Throughout the ship, people would hear the familiar voice of Stacy in their heads.

||Pod Release Protocols Initating||

In the Pod Caverns, there were the sounds of: Pop. Pop pop pop. Poppuhpoppoppop. KASCHUNKhiiiiiiiissssss.

There was condensation and mist spraying out from cracks in the pods, as the people inside slid out onto the floors, covered in slime.

Pop. Poppop. KASCHUNKhiiiiiissss.
