Meet-n-Greet

After being released from stasis, having the slime removed from their bodies and clothed in the creepy, pulsing leaf-suit that everyone wore, and being taken to the Weapons & Possessions lockers to collect their belongings, the new arrivals would find themselves standing in the Observation Deck. Round windows lined the fleshy walls, revealing the bright display of lights that was inter-dimensional travel. They would also discover that there were people--members of the command staff and crew that had woken earlier--waiting for them.

"You may call it military if you wish to. However, Starfleet's primary mission has always been that of peace and exploration." He paused, taking in the man's qualifications and questions, mulling them over before answering.

"There is always a need for those with medical expertise. After this gathering is finished, I'll call Doctor McCoy to give you the tour and show you around Sick Bay." the questions regarding Stacy were harder for Picard to answer, given his lack of expertise in biological technology and artificial intelligence.

"It's possible. I'll refer you to our engineering team for more information. If you can deal well with people, perhaps you would be more comfrtable as part of our science division, liaising between the engineering, science, and medical teams. All together, I'm sure we could find the answers we need regarding Stacy and the ... mechanics of her design."

Alex nods to the captain.

"I'm not really a medical doctor, but viruses are my specialty, so maybe that can help." Not going to mention that it's viruses made for biological warfare.

"I'm sure I'll have something to learn from each division. Engineering on a living creature sounds interesting."

"Excellent. There's a man in this room that responds to the name James Kirk. He's a captain as well, and my acting first officer." Jean-Luc immediately gave a swift and accurate physical description of the young man. "Find him, and he'll escort you to see Commander Spock, the chief science officer."

Jean-Luc immediately gave a swift and accurate physical description of the young man. "Find him, and he'll escort you to see Commander Spock, the chief science officer."

<<Captain Kirk, a human will be approaching you shortly. Please escort him to Commander Spock.>> The captain followed the request with Alex's description.

Alex nods again to Picard. "Thanks for the help. I'll do my best and see if I can discover anything new about this ship." It would seem to Alex that these people were much more trustworthy that the people from his world. No Blackwatch to screw things up. Perhaps these were people worth saving.

"Thank you," the captain said in return. "My name is Jean-Luc Picard, and I am the captain of this crew and, to some extent, the ship as well."

"You're welcome." Alex says with another nod. "My name is Alex Mercer. I'll see what I can do around here."

"Thank you, Mister Mercer. Find Captain James Kirk, he'll take you where you need to go."
