Meet-n-Greet

After being released from stasis, having the slime removed from their bodies and clothed in the creepy, pulsing leaf-suit that everyone wore, and being taken to the Weapons & Possessions lockers to collect their belongings, the new arrivals would find themselves standing in the Observation Deck. Round windows lined the fleshy walls, revealing the bright display of lights that was inter-dimensional travel. They would also discover that there were people--members of the command staff and crew that had woken earlier--waiting for them.

Well, that's understandable. Emo kids get things thrown at them no matter what.

Yo mamma comments would have just reminded him of home, which... might not be a good thing, honestly. "... no, not really. I was going to ask someone later, when everything wasn't quite so chaotic and full of people." Hunter says sheepishly. He's not great with large groups of people, hence his efforts to avoid them while tripping over Caden.

Again with the raising of the eyebrows. "And you have the right to criticize me for not asking why now?"

"You had someone to ask and just didn't bother?" Hunter suggests, wincing slightly. "I was going to find someone later, when there aren't so many people around." he continues, repeating himself for emphasis.

Unimpressed Caden is unimpressed. Something along the lines of "Nancy boy" can be heard under his breath, and he snorts. "Nice plan. You claustrophobic or something?"

"... or something." Hunter says slowly, displaying more survival instinct than he has throughout the whole conversation. (He's pretty sure announcing that he's just very shy actually will either lead to a: more mocking, b: more mind-screwing, or c: a combination of the two. He's not happy with any of those options.)

Caden grunts vaguely, frowning at Hunter for a moment before grabbing his elbow and dragging him into the crowd. "I'm not trying to be helpful or anything, but if you're a med person, you might end up keeping me from bleeding out at some point, so I think you finding the med team would be good." Totally and completely out of character? Why yes, he is. "Meanwhile, you're going to help me look for Jaime. Supposedly he's wearing a lot of blue." Okay, the forcing-Hunter-to-help-him is a bit more in character. Maybe he hasn't gone insane.

Insanity is always a possibility with Caden. Always.

Hunter makes a very undignified 'meep!' noise as Caden drags him out into the middle of the people. "Um, a-alright. Is he not wearing the creepy suit?" he asks as he's being yanked along behind a very determined Caden.

Caden shudders. "Don't... don't mention the creepy suit. I'm trying really, really hard to not think about the creepy suit. No creepy suits here," he says, pausing and looking around, eyes scanning for either a lot of blue or a guy in a ninja mask. He doesn't see either. "And how should I know? I haven't met the guy. That's the point of the endeavor, remember?"

"The suits are sort of... darkish-green, so I guess he'd be in regular clothes." Was that Hunter mentioning the suits again? It might have been. (Oops.)

Ninja-masked doctor or woman named Jean Grey? Please show up soon, so Hunter can leave the psychopath to his own devices.

Caden winces because, yeah, that mention of the suits did just register. He's also really not happy about the darkish-green aspect, though he is, obviously, not happy about any of it. Darkish-green really isn't his color. "Gee, thanks, Sparkles, because I didn't figure that out for myself," he mutters, rolling his eyes.

Caden is not a psychopath. He's just an emo kid. Which is potentially the same thing...
