Meet-n-Greet

After being released from stasis, having the slime removed from their bodies and clothed in the creepy, pulsing leaf-suit that everyone wore, and being taken to the Weapons & Possessions lockers to collect their belongings, the new arrivals would find themselves standing in the Observation Deck. Round windows lined the fleshy walls, revealing the bright display of lights that was inter-dimensional travel. They would also discover that there were people--members of the command staff and crew that had woken earlier--waiting for them.

Kate had grown a bit complacent, resigned. Unsure of things and if she would ever see her home again. Being possessed by the Yeerk and facing all of it alone didn't help either. She hadn't realized how much she had come to rely on her friends and teammates until she was all alone with the nightmares the brain slug had dredged up.

But now that she knew they're here too, and all this was going to go down? She knew what was needed. Clint was right. The world needed them.

She smiled back at him, "We already got a team working on that too. The getting out of here and back home. We'll make it."

Billy nodded his head and then stood back up. "Well I for one am not going to sit around and mope. We're on a living ship, with people I never even dreamed about meeting. Okay, maybe a few dreams, but nothing like this." He looked back at her for a moment.

"I say we don't let our problems from home bother us too much. Heck Osborn wasn't even focused on us. Too busy trying to hunt down Spider-Man and Clint."

"Right, just do what we can, and focus on getting home when we can. Still that sounds even worse."

Especially Peter, there was still lots of bad blood between them, and she didn't like what might happen with Osborn running the show now.

"Come on Kate. Lighten up a bit. We're in Space!" He couldn't have Kate bringing down his mood. He was just too happy for this.

Kate gave a smile back, "I'm cool, it's ok. I think I'm getting used to the space background."

She came closer to hug him again briefly.

"Glad you're here. And just think you can go bug Teddy for not waking up on time when he does show up."
