Meet-n-Greet

After being released from stasis, having the slime removed from their bodies and clothed in the creepy, pulsing leaf-suit that everyone wore, and being taken to the Weapons & Possessions lockers to collect their belongings, the new arrivals would find themselves standing in the Observation Deck. Round windows lined the fleshy walls, revealing the bright display of lights that was inter-dimensional travel. They would also discover that there were people--members of the command staff and crew that had woken earlier--waiting for them.

Better 'an earnin' it the way we did. Seriously. Faeries and glamour machines and bloody phookas. Jono would love to be able to count Howard the Duck in there but he was firmly in the 'real world'.

He wavered a hand back and forth. Close 'nough. We know part of it 'as t' do with some race called the Ohm. Apparently serious threat, but Stacy ain't tol' us jus' why or what we're 'sposed t' do 'gainst 'em. Or much of anythin' 'bout 'em. Roight now, we're workin' on gettin' t' the bridge, which is 'parently held by bad guys. Who ain't the Ohm, but Stacy can't tell us nothin' much 'bout THEM neither. So we're mos'ly flyin' blind.

That wasn't unusual with being an X-Man, either.

Jono shook his head. Seen some of what these Ohm can do. Okay, he saw it second-hand, but it counted. Doubt they think we're evil. Step up from 'ome, anyway.
