Meet-n-Greet

After being released from stasis, having the slime removed from their bodies and clothed in the creepy, pulsing leaf-suit that everyone wore, and being taken to the Weapons & Possessions lockers to collect their belongings, the new arrivals would find themselves standing in the Observation Deck. Round windows lined the fleshy walls, revealing the bright display of lights that was inter-dimensional travel. They would also discover that there were people--members of the command staff and crew that had woken earlier--waiting for them.

A girl with black and pink hair flits up to Carol. She has pure black eyes, a friendly grin, and brightly coloured insect wings on her back that help her fly, even though something like that should be humanly impossible. Instead of being the size of a fairy, she was the size of a petite, teenage girl.

Which is what she was, mostly.

"Hi!" she says brightly, coming to a stop in front of Carol. "You just popped, right?"

"I did." She turned to look at the girl and blinked. That wasn't something you saw everyday, unless you were used to seeing things like her. Carol tried to think of where she had seen her before, but was drawing a blank. Whatever had happened before she woke up here, had messed with her head. She was having a hard time remembering much of anything.

Pixie held out a hand to shake Carol's and if Carol was paying attention, she'd see a belt jauntily slung over Pixie's hips. The buckle had a very familiar X on it. Well, familiar if Carol was thinking straight at any rate. "I'm Pixie," she stated warmly. "Uh. Welcome to the meatship."

Carol took the hand and tried to smile, but her eyes had darted to the belt on Pixie's hips. "X..." She blinked a few times and brought a hand to her head, a headache making her vision swim for a moment. Her eyes glowing a soft yellow light.

"You're one of the X-Men. I remember now." She shook her head and stood up straight. "God, that was a trip. Wait.. Meatship?" She laughed a bit and shook her head again.

"Is it seriously called The Meatship? I thought she said her name was Stacy. And I can't seriously believe that sentence came out of my mouth."

Pixie grinned. "I am!" she exclaimed, pleased to have someone who recognized her. It wasn't like she was, you know, Wolverine or Storm or Phoenix. "Well, no. It's called Stacy. But we call it the meatship coz it's kind of alive," she explained as her hand made a small circular motion, indicating the ship. A small amount of sparkling dust falls off of her hand, but it goes down to the ground and not at all near Carol. Which is a good thing. Carol just arrived. Pixie doesn't want the woman hallucinating. "It's not all cold metal and glass and wiring. Which is weird, but kind of cool? I bet the Shi'ar would be totally jealous." She tilted her head. "Uh. So, how do you know who I am?"

"I don't know how I feel about this." She looked around at the ship and frowned. A living ship was something she'd never come across, but the fact that it wasn't made of what a ship should have been... Well that was just strange. We was sure that Tony would have had a field day with this.. but she shook those thoughts. Thinking about someone who all but betrayed her and the rest of the world made her angry, and she wasn't going to get angry.

"I've known a few X-Men. Even stayed at the mansion way back when. I don't know if you were there when I first stayed, but I've seen you sense. On the news from the Invasion. You and the rest of the X-Men really did a bang up job getting rid of those Skrulls." She grinned a bit, taking pleasure in talking about destroying Skrulls. It was the Kree in her.
