Meet and Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicomms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicomm. New crewmates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that), a large afro attached to a smaller girl, and talking ponies among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in. But thankfully this time, there's a system that was set up to aid the new crew members with a few more experienced ones.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies. Big brother/sister, there will be a thread for you as well!]

"Ain't never seen science could do that," he said. Clearly he was still confused. But at least he knew what science was, right?

"Well...me neither technically because I was asleep for the process, but see this monkey bit me when I was a little kid. It infected me with a rare disease called Sakutia that only animals can survive." He launched into the story as familiar as if he recited it every day. "My parents were really clever scientists, and they used their research to manipulate my genes to find the missing link between man and beast!"

He was extremely animated in his story telling bouncing about with lots of hand motions.

"I survived, but it came with a few nifty side effects." And for demonstration he shifted into a lion and back.

"Impressive right?"

He nodded. It certainly was impressive. He didn't understand a lick of it, but it was impressive all the same. "Eeeyup."

Beastboy could tell but at least his point had been made so he was happy and cheerful.

"So welcome to Stacy Dude! You're the first Male horse I've seen in awhile. We've already had a bunch of girls pop up you know?"

Big Mac nodded. "How many have you seen?" he asked. He'd already run into a few of his friends from back home, and he was curious how many he might have missed, or how many other ponies were on the ship with them.

"Let's see here there's Pinkie...Rarity made me some new socks, and that one that's always flying around. I can never catch up to her." He ticked off on his fingers. "There was another, a Princess. But she's gone back to sleep for now."

He nodded as he listened. "Which princess?" he asked.

[changelingdude]

"Uh...white fur. Big rainbow hair." He tried to explain pantomiming flowy hair with both hands.

"That's Princess Celestia," he explained.
