Meet and Greet
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers.
Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicomms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicomm. New crewmates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that), a large afro attached to a smaller girl, and talking ponies among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.
There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in. But thankfully this time, there's a system that was set up to aid the new crew members with a few more experienced ones.
[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies. Big brother/sister, there will be a thread for you as well!]

Re: Allenby, open to anyone
"WHO THE HELL SAID THAT?! But if you really wanna know, it's more like small enough to get through a cell membrane!" Yeah, that's right, Ed. You would diffuse across the lipid bilayer. "Besides, who cares? Bein' a tiny bit taller doesn't make you better."
Re: Allenby, open to anyone
/SCREAM"I don't want to hear that from a shrimp like you." Oh man, that felt so good. "Shorty! Runt! Half-pint!"
A complex? Noooooo. Edward raised his fists in return, but he did back up a little, getting into a good stance in case Allenby decided to unleash her tiny-person rage.
Re: Allenby, open to anyone
And since he was gearing up to fight, well, why not?! Maybe they'd actually start making progress if they started talking with their fists instead of yelling at each other.
PUNCH.
Re: Allenby, open to anyone
"I'M THE BIG SIBLING HERE, YOU WATER FLEA!"
Re: Allenby, open to anyone
Because this right now? Helpful. So very, very helpful.
Re: Allenby, open to anyone
He is clearly fulfilling his mission priorities here.
Re: Allenby, open to anyone
She went flying up, landing on her butt. At least the floor was slightly softer than the foot to her chin had been. Okay, time to try words again. "Do you want to keep shouting tiny insults at each other, or do you wanna know what's going on here?!" she snapped, shaking her fist at him.
Re: Allenby, open to anyone
He eyed her suspiciously, as if suspecting some kind of trick. "You know what's really going on here?"
Re: Allenby, open to anyone
"Yes, if you'd shut up about height for one second and listen to me." She rubbed her chin. "You heard that dumb voice in your head pretendin' like she was your mom and telling you all that crap about being a champion for worlds and all, yeah?"
Re: Allenby, open to anyone
"I heard it, all right. And I don't believe a word of it. Who does that Stacy think she is, anyway?" Besides, he only had one mother
and she was deaaaaaad.Re: Allenby, open to anyone
She nodded in approval. "Good, you shouldn't. Don't trust her at all. Sometimes she'll do something decent at the last minute, but not after letting us get almost totally screwed over first. She's run by the Daligig--they're evil bastards, and they drafted us into a war that's probably their fault to start with."
Re: Allenby, open to anyone
Edward ran his fingers through his hair, frowning in thought. "It's just one thing after another. Okay, so the ship is evil. The people who brought us here are evil. But you don't really think our worlds are all gone, do you? Because I can't believe it. There isn't a creature alive that can destroy a whole universe."
Re: Allenby, open to anyone
"Not creature. Creatures," Allenby corrected. "The Ohm are a race or a civilization or somethin', and unfortunately that part's true, but we don't know the real reason why. We don't know that it can't be undone, either."
Re: Allenby, open to anyone
"Once you're dead, you're dead. There's no coming back. I can't even imagine the price you'd have to pay to bring back billions or trillions of people at once."
Re: Allenby, open to anyone
...No, she was still pissed. "We don't know that. There's a ton of crap that you're gonna see that would be impossible in some places, like magic and shapeshifting. So don't go countin' things as impossible just because your universe's physics don't go along with it."
