Meet and Greet
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers.
Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicomms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicomm. New crewmates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that), a large afro attached to a smaller girl, and talking ponies among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.
There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in. But thankfully this time, there's a system that was set up to aid the new crew members with a few more experienced ones.
[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies. Big brother/sister, there will be a thread for you as well!]

She nodded, smiling softly. "Don't worry. We've been doing our best to look out for each other here. And I'm glad that you're joining us." She paused. "Windam is here as well."

"It will be an honor to have him with us," she said carefully. And then she smiled. "He'd be good to have at your back, I think. I'm glad to hear you've been all right. Hikaru and Umi aren't here, are they?"
no subject
"It is very reassuring to have him here," she said, touching the jewel on her armor. "I haven't seen Hikaru or Umi, and it doesn't look like they were released today, either." Still, Fuu found herself standing on her toes, just in case she had somehow missed them. "But I'm certain that they're in the pods as well."

"If they were here, we'd hear them," she said. "Umi shouting, or Hikaru calling our names. I suppose it's just me, this time around. How often does Stacey wake people, in any case? Perhaps they aren't... ready," she continued. She wasn't sure what being ready would involve, exactly. But it was as likely an explanation as any other.

She hoped that they would emerge soon, though. It would have been nice to have them here, together like they had been all through Cephiro. "It's a matter of the soul, according to what I've learned," she said. "Something about this type of space makes it difficult for the spirit to remain attached."
no subject
She wasn't quite sure what Fuu meant about the spirit, however, wrinkling her nose in some confusion. "Do you mean that some of the people in the pods have no soul?" That was a little creepy to think about. Coffins, rather than preservatives.

"You've always got a good explanation," she said to Fuu, smiling. Fuu was still curious as ever, at least. She'd be the person to ask when Presea had questions later.
