Wizards of Waterly Place

In Happy Happy Fun World, there is a magical land of wonder and mystical mystery.

And also waterslides.

This is Wizards of Waterly Place, a magic-themed water park. And this place is actually magical--or at least the technology makes it seem that way. Waterslides cut off at certain places, causing the park goers to "magically" appear on another water slide elsewhere where they continue (thanks to teleportation), and wavepools shoot out sparkles into the air where the waves crash into each other. Sometimes tubes move around and change shape as the riders are still sliding through them, leading to an even more exciting ride.

This park is home to one of the tallest waterslides in the universe, "The Amazing," which needs actually gravity dampers to prevent people from dying when they hit the bottom, and is responsible for the greatest swimsuit wedgies in all of existence. There's also the "Rabbit in a Hat" Drop Slides where the park goers jump down through top hat shaped slides, the "Mystic River" lazy tube ride, and the "Aqua Kadabra" river raft ride, among others. And don't forget "Nimue's Pool," the massive wave pool that changes colors and occasionally has bubbles rising from the water. (Some are big enough to hold people and carry them into the air before popping a few feet over the surface and dropping them back in the water).

For those that didn't bring swimsuits, ones stamped all over with logos can be bought at a shop outside the entrance of this part of the park, along with t-shirts, towels, and flip flops. Lockers can be rented near the changing rooms. There are also souvenir "wands" that squirt water and bubbles at people along with wand holders that can be bought here and top hats with flowers on them that shoot water, among other souvenirs.

When Harry had asked Cedric and Ginny if they wanted to cruise around the amusement park together, he'd hoped finding their way around would be a bit easier. He had the map of this part of the park and was currently wrestling with it, as the thing was huge and had more folds than the hide of an elephant. Why he'd opted for one of the paper ones, he didn't have a clue, but it helped a little bit to be able to see more of the park at one glance.

Where were they? Oh, right, that large sign there said they were near one of the waterparks.

"I don't suppose you two would like to go to a waterpark?" he asked curiously. He'd never been to an amusement park or a waterpark, but it was oppressively hot in this section of the park, and he found himself preferring the idea of the latter at the moment. It would be nice to cool off, wouldn't it? And get out of the plantsuit.

It also would mean he didn't have to wrestle with the stupid map any longer.

For his part, Cedric was just happy to be outside. After so many long hours aboard the ship, it felt great to feel the sun on his face again. It was getting slightly uncomfortable, though---sweating in a plantsuit was not a fun affair, as he quickly discovered. And it was quite apparent that they needed to stop this wandering around soon. For three Seekers, they certainly weren't having much luck at finding destinations today.

"How often will we have the chance?" he asked, grinning up at the sign. "We're not dressed for the occasion, but that can be taken care of."

Given all the cold and rain at home and at Hogwarts, it was a rare opportunity. It had to be better than swimming in the Hogwarts lake in February.

Ginny had mostly just been hoping for somewhere to get some clothes that were a little less constricting. The heat just sort of made everything worse, though, so at the mention of "water" she was more than willing to divert her attention.

"Sounds good to me," she replied, studying the large sign ahead. Wizards had their own type of amusements, but entire parks were an entirely new and exciting experience. A whole park dedicated to water? Seemed like quite the clever idea, to her.

What could have made the overly timid girl who was scared of crowds and people in general come out today? To an amusement park world of all places? Well, water did. It was one of those things that she enjoyed very much! Even if this wasn't the same as the beaches of Stranglethorn, or the South Seas, it was still something that appealed to her...

Now however, she didn't think it had been such a good idea as the place was rather crowded.

Which could work in her favor, considering she wouldn't stand out much since it was an alien world! So maybe she could enjoy herself?

She wore a modest, white one-piece swimsuit with a red hoodie and a sheer, rosy shawl wrapped around her hips.

Billy had found himself longing to cool off after a long day hitting the pavement of the parks. Grateful that he'd thought to stuff his swim trunks in his bag, he set off for this section of the park with a big smile.

The technology for these rides was amazing! He was quite excited to see how they operated for himself. Were there teleporters installed? Timed lights, wave machines...it was truly marvelous. He quickly changed into his swim trunks and water shoes, throwing a towel over his shoulder and heading out to look for the first ride. On the way there, though, he caught sight of a familiar hoodie and familiar hair...wait, wasn't that out of place in a water park?

"Ronnie!" Billy called to her, rushing over with a wide grin on his face. "Aren't you hot?"

Kaya was bound to catch up with her, wearing just her underclothes because when else would be the best time to wear whats he wore underneath? She didn't mind the crowds at all, and upon seeing Ronnae, grabbed her around her middle and hugged, looking pretty pleased.

"Isn't this great?! This place is amazing!"

And then, seeing Billy, she was even more pleased, leaping onto her Bonded and hugging him tight. "Billy! I didn't know you would be here too!"

Ronnae jumped a little, caught off guard by the sudden hug and letting out a small, surprised yelp.

"K-Kaya?! I, y-yeah it is." Aaaahhh, ninjas everywhere!

At Billy's voice, the poor girl turned even more red as she turned around quickly and smiling shyly, looking down.

"N-no, not r-really... I'm used to it... It's... c-comforting." And it kept her safer from prying eyes!

Billy meant to say something comforting to his girlfriend, but Kaya's immediately pouncing put a stop to that. He caught her, a laugh soon startled out of him.

"It's good to see you too! Somehow I suspected I'd find you in the water-themed section."

When he was free, he stepped closer to Ronnae and squeezed one of her hands. "If you're sure. Did you just want to look around, then?"

Kaya laughed, then reached over and included Ronnae in the hug. She's been with Nokosi, you guys: she is definitely in a good mood!

"You know I would be! I never thought that I'd get to run into you both here! Ronnae? You all right? Why are you wearing a hoodie? We should be having fun! Look at this place!

"I d-don't see how wearin' one would impede my ability to havin' fun." Of course she was also very nervous about how big the crowd was and subtly pulled on her hoodie closer around herself.

Billy's hand and the group hug made her feel a bit better, "I wanted to see what it was like... I... r-really like water and stuff... And the r-rides look really fun."

Billy chuckled to himself, but he looked sympathetic. "Well...it's thick and it will weigh you down in the water, but if it helps you to have it I don't mind."

He hugged them both tightly, ready for the day ahead. "I know, isn't it amazing? They must have some incredibly advanced tech. Imagine what we could do with it!"

Kaya shrugged. "I don't know Ronnae: I like having the sun on my skin, feeling free! I like moving around with less clothes: whenever else we going to get to do it?"

Kaya didn't do it on a whim (not anymore anyway), but she liked it. "I know! These look amazing! I want to try everything, don't you?"

Ronnie rubbed her arm awkwardly and looked down a bit embarrassed.

"I k-know... I was planning on taking them off and placing them with my towel if I w-went on any of the rides of course... I jus' had it on while I walked around."

Regardless of how she was feeling at the moment, she was glad that she had such close friends around her. At least they gave her more strength to stay around.

That made more sense. Billy nodded encouragingly, looking around at their surroundings. "So let's take a look. Do you like any of the rides you've seen? That pool with the bubbles looked fascinating...as did the river, and the slides..."

Kaya would have pointed out that she thought Ronnae's figure looked better than her own, but it looked like Billy wanted to avoid that particular confrontation, and she couldn't blame him.

"Yes, I agree with Billy on the bubble pool! It could be fun!"

And she appreciated it greatly, from both. It wasn't a subject she liked to talk about if she could avoid it.

At the lack of questioning, Ronnae relaxed and smiled a bit, nodding in turn.

"Then I g-guess the bubble pool it is." she said timidly, relaxing against Billy.

Billy wasn't ready to rush things. He leaned forward and held Ronnae against him for a minute, silently reassuring her before they went. "If we hurry, we can get a good spot. Let's go!"

Smiling, he led them over to the pool. It definitely looked inviting, and he could see the other visitors laughing at the bubbles.

Oh, there was plenty of time for talking! Now was the time for action, for crashing around in water and having some fun! She ran with them, looking happy: part of it was for show, and, for Billy, she said only this:

I'll need to talk to you, later. It's important.

But if she was upset, her face didn't show it.

"How would something like this work, you science guys?"

It was a breath of fresh air... to be all together and hanging out and simply enjoying the moment. She wished Nokosi was around to, but she was sure he'd join them once he was done with his errands. For now, she was happy to have Billy and Kaya with the fullest intent on having fun!

Once there, Ronnie took a moment to close her eyes, and take a few deep breaths. It might have looked silly to some of the people around, but she needed to calm herself before anything. Once she felt she was ready, she nodded to herself and slowly took off her hoodie and unwrapped the shawl from her hips, leaving her only in the form fitting bathing suit.

Opening her eyes would be the hardest, but surely enough, she did!

I hear you, Kaya. I'll talk to you tonight.

That would come later, but Billy was ready to play at the moment. He shifted with Kaya to give Ronnie some privacy as she changed, reaching back to take her hand when she was done. His eyes met hers, and he couldn't help but smile at her.

"You're fine. Ronnie. It'll be okay!"

Kaya watched the two a moment, marveling at the way they seemed to compliment each other: Ronnae, still cautious and scared, Billy, warm and tender always. She loved the both of them as people, and recalled how Billy thought he might never love again, and then Ronnae came about.

How the ship changed people, good and bad.

Kaya, not to be outdone, ran past them and jumped into a bubble.

The reassurance from Billy made her smile and she nodded, giggling a bit when Kaya rushed past and made water splash on them.

"H-hey!" she laughed and looked up at Billy with a warm smile. "Okay, I'm ready~" And with that, she took a more humble approach towards the bubble pool, simply walking into it and loving the feel of the water on her skin.

Billy whispered into her ear as they walked. "You're safe with me, don't worry. And do you know what keeps me from worrying?"

He dove into the water, not quite as flashily as Kaya, and allowed himself to be lifted to the surface on a bubble. With a pop, he slid down from the bubble and landed in front of her once more.

"I imagine myself as you see me. You're here, and you think I look good---or at least I assume so, maybe I'm having an off day---and I know it's all right."

Kaya couldn't help it: she loved the water on her skin, but she also loved taking some risks when she had the chance. When she felt the bubble about to give out she hopped onto another one, looking more energetic. She hopped onto one more, higher up, and did a flip in the air before making a swan dive into the water. She let herself sink down before rising up again, in a bubble, watching the two of them.

Ronnae had settled in an area where water was just under her chest as she looked and smiled and listened to Billy.

She giggled at his playfulness and blushed once he came back and spoke once more. "Y-you know I do. You look wonderful sweetheart. I... I'm fine, this feels p-pretty fun. Jus' look at Kaya." she said with a small laugh.

Truthfully, she couldn't shake the anxious feeling completely, but them being there with her made it easier to deal with.

She avoided the bubbles however, not wanting to be lifted up and exposed more openly like that. She was more than content trying to pop them before the flew off and laughing about it. It was a simple joy.
