Departmental Meeting: Security

The Precinct had a lot of meeting rooms. Dick had signs up pointing to the largest one, since there was never any telling how many people would end up at the meeting. There were chairs scattered around in a vaguely circular arrangement, though they could be moved around as people liked.

Dick himself stood at the front, omnicomm in hand and trying to keep track of what was going on. He was leaning back against a table with two seats behind it. Right now, it was just waiting for people to arrive.

That got a wide-eyed look out of Shoutarou. "You know Kamen Riders?"

"Huh? Well, of course. I mean, everyone knows something about them, right?"

At least in Japan, anyway. "He said he didn't have any special moves, though."

"Well, there's a lot who don't know about us on this ship."

Was that a slip, or did Shou say that on purpose?

"Us?"

Have a curious stare, Shoutarou.

"Besides myself, we have a handful of Kamen Riders aboard the ship."

"You're a real Kamen Rider? ...prove it."

Yeah. Prove it.

Well, the kid cut to the point.

"Alright," he answered, pulling out the Lost Driver and putting it to his waist, the belt wrapping around automatically as he stood up. Then a Memory was pulled out and clicked - JOKER! - before being put into the belt.

"Henshin!"

The armor formed up around Shoutarou's body, and he folded his arms. "I am Kamen Rider... Joker!"

Atom looked first at the armor, then up at Shoutarou, as if... expecting something.

After a moment, he spoke up. "...Aren't you going to do a flip?"

Shoutarou sort of looked like a Kamen Rider, but... well... he looked a little evil.

Shou's head tilted a bit. "A flip? Why would I do a flip?"

"Well... you know. Don't Kamen Riders always do flips after they transform?"

Are you a real Kamen Rider Shoutarou.

"I don't... Phillip and I don't as Double. Hoshi and Ren don't..." Headscratch. "I don't know if Decade and those guys that were with him did."

YES. WHY YOU QUESTION MY RIDERHOOD, SMALL CHILD ROBOT?

"Oh." Atom looked... disappointed. "Well, I guess you're still cool."

GEE SHOUTAROU IF ONLY THERE WAS SOMETHING YOU COULD DO... SOMETHING EVEN ATOM WOULD RECOGNIZE KAMEN RIDERS DO

"Well, I'm not at my best like this - for that, both myself and Phillip form Kamen Rider Double, the two-colored handkerchief that wipes away the tears of the multiverse! We strike out at injustice with a mighty kick so that no-one will have to cry!"

"Huh? So you have a partner?"

Atom brightened immediately at Shoutarou's words of determination. He was a Kamen Rider! "That's so cool! I'm going to strike out at injustice, too!"

Shoutarou breaks his transformation and nods. "I do - he's not a part of Security directly, and generally serves more as a supporter, but there's a lot of stuff I couldn't do without him."

He chuckles at Atom though, and grins a bit. "That's the spirit, kiddo!"

Well, Atom could do without the 'kiddo' bit, but he supposed he was going to get a lot of that here.

"Like what?" It was still a little weird that Shoutarou had to rely on someone else for his powers, after all. He wondered if they were divided up or something.

"Well. Forming Double, first and foremost. We're a lot stronger working together than on our own. He's also my main source of information on things."

"Hmm... I don't think I've ever met humans that could combine. Only robots. But how come he's not in here with you? Can't he fight, too?"

"He can definitely fight, but he's not a member of the Security team. He has a lot of personal projects he sees to - researching various things and experiments," even if Shoutarou didn't like some of them...
