Meat n' Greet
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.
Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicom. New crew-mates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that) and purple girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.
There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.
[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

"Do we know how many were rescued?" He suspected they didn't, and that it wasn't all of them. There were just too many worlds represented, and their planet alone had billions of people.

It was a thin supposition, but one he clung to for the sake of his own sanity, and was happy to offer up for Cedric to do the same.

From the way his face lifted, it should have been clear that Cedric was finally starting to stabilize. It wasn't all right, of course not, and there was still so much to learn. But he didn't feel quite so lost anymore.
"And Professor, I've seen something else. They've said that people don't hide their magic here, that the muggles don't attack wizards. Have you told them?"

He hesitated a moment, but hurried to add, "I have also informed the people who need to know of my own personal condition. It has thus far caused no problems, since there is no moon, but should I ever change again no one will be caught off-guard."
no subject
"All right. No one's given you a hard time about it, have they?" That had felt terribly unfair to Cedric, that their beloved professor had to leave because some parents couldn't trust werewolves.

"But as long as we're not somewhere with a moon, you're safe. Isn't there something we can do for you too? A kind of potion?"

"But maybe the formula's here somewhere? I've heard people talking about a library."

He wasn't sure Professor Snape would be willing to help anymore.
"So I should head over to the magical department next?"
no subject
"At your own pace, Cedric. No one will begrudge you some time to adjust to all of this."
no subject
"I can't sit around too long, Professor. We could go down for a mission any time, right? And I can't be caught off guard again." As the last time was the reason he was a dead man.

"I'll give it a few days. By then I should know how I'm feeling."

"Right, they haven't told us how we'll eat yet. Can't be anything good. But tea sounds wonderful, Professor, thank you."

"I'll send a message when I want to sent something up. Somehow. These devices really are complicated," he frowned. "Clever Muggles."
