Meat n' Greet
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.
Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicom. New crew-mates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that) and purple girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.
There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.
[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

There were a lot of weird people wandering around, and no one looked familiar. Karina held her chin high and hoped that her parents were safe somewhere.

This cold uncompromising fact was delivered by none other then Azula herself, fresh out of trying to deny the horrible events of visitation day had happened. Her unsteady gaze wasn't set on Karina at all even but seeming to look through her. "And even if they were, would that be a good thing?"
no subject
And the look Crazy Eyes was giving her made Karina a little bit wary.

"But few ever find who they're looking for. After all there's only so many pods."
no subject
She certainly didn't have to take this from anyone.

"Rude? Really? Are you that offended by the concept that you might be looking for a friend? Or some family? Or your lover?" The last word played on her lips like honey. "You've just been told your entire world has been destroyed and you are suddenly in some kind of living beast of technology and plantlife. You are surrounded by strangers, of coarse. Why would you be looking for anyone you knew? How rude of me."
no subject
Seriously, the nerve of some people.

"Hi," he said, walking up to her. "Are you all right? Do you need anything?"

He paused. "It really depends on where and when the technology's from. Some people here are still swinging swords around. Others use mobile suits with neural interfaces."

"I'm talking about Gundams and Variable Fighters and so on. You can go see them in the Hangar, if you want. There are some larger ships, too, like the Quarter."

Huh. She sure seemed unconcerned with the whole world-being-destroyed thing. But he supposed everyone took it a little differently. He gave her a brief bow. "If you don't require any assistance, I'll be on my way. It was nice meeting you, miss."
no subject
And that's when he recognized her. "Hey! Blue Rose! Hiya!"

"Hey, I said sorry," he whined, scratching his head. "It's nice to see you! Are you all right? All of this spaceship stuff is kind of freaky, you know..."

She'd gotten used to all of this by now, the popping, even if she still wasn't happy around crowds, at least she focused on doing her job as part of the crew and helping out wherever she could, this time being part of the welcoming group that helped the new poppers get settled.

Karina stared for a moment in shock before replying, "H-hi."
no subject
"You need any help?"
