After the battle, the warriors' task was over. Their job, for now, was to rest and recover for the time being.

The healers' job, on the other hand, was far from over. Some exhausted from the battle, others rotating in, they took to their bay and continued the process of treating the wounded. Some patients were free to leave in a few minutes, while others would have some time (or quite some time) on the cots. Their mission: relax. Stay as still as possible.

Unfortunately, the temptation of so many familiar faces alive and about would ultimately prove to be too great. Keeping track of this group was going to be a third task all its own.

[this is a free for all for all your injured! Have them socialize, be thorns in the medics' side, try to escape, or bring the medics together for some action. Just note in your post if you'd like a medic to visit your character---if not, it's time for a chat!]

Shoutarou | Open

Much as he would have liked to be his stubborn self and just walk out of the medical area, Shoutarou could not manage it. He'd spent way, way too much energy on attacks, especially that last kick on the general. Making it spin was a really, really bad idea in retrospect - if he had the energy to move much, his legs would protest quite painfully.

For now, he's sprawled out on a cot with his hat over his face. One arm draped over his chest, the other dangling off the cot.

Aqua was making a few rounds in the medbay, just in case they needed any extra help. For all she was drained from the battle, she could still manage a Cure spell if needed. Seeing Shoutarou, she couldn't help but smile.

"If not for everything going on, I'd almost think you were relaxing."

Was someone talking to him...?

The hand on Shou's chest moved to pull the hat away, and lo and behold, there was someone addressing him. "Well, the medics said to take it easy, so I might as well since everything's over."

"Sounds like a good idea," Aqua admitted. "It was a rough battle out there."

"No kidding," Shou answered, then let out a sigh. "I think that's the most action I've seen and taken part in all at once."

"It wasn't normal for me either," Aqua confessed. "No matter how much I've had to fight."

There's a faint sigh, then the detective closes his eyes. "I just hope it doesn't become normal for us."

"Same here," Aqua agreed. "My name's Aqua--I'm training as a medic, though I also joined the magical department."

There was a light nod from Shou, and he held a hand up for a rather awkwardly-angled handshake. "Hidari Shoutarou - private detective, and I'm in security."

Aqua didn't comment on the awkwardness of the handshake. They were all tired.

"Pleased to meet you. You're not scheduled for patrol soon, are you?"

"Likewise." Once the handshake ended, Shou's arm dropped to his side, and he makes a thoughtful face. "...I don't know. If so, I'll probably go. I think I can handle riding around a bit." He chuckles. "Just have to hope everyone's too wore out to cause a problem."

"I should probably stop you, but I know the feeling," Aqua admitted. "How are you with magic healing? I might be able to give you just enough of a boost."

"Normally I'm too stubborn to listen, but right now, I'm too tired to stand, so you win for now. Won't turn down the healing, though. I... Guess it wouldn't do anything weird. Lash's weird little power boost seemed to work fine on the field."

"Chin up, people are going to start thinking they can walk all over Security." Zouichi took a seat in a nearby chair, looking curiously at Shoutarou. "Nice hat."

Shoutarou peeks out from under his hat, then chuckles. "I'll be up and about again in no time, don't you worry." He pulls the hat off his face completely, laying it on his chest. "And thanks."

"No problem. So, what happened to you? Blood loss? Broken bones?"

"Mostly just exhaustion, though I've probably sprained up my legs pretty good. Got out pretty well, just gonna be feeling it for a good while."

Zouichi nodded. "That doesn't sound too bad. Were you out on the ground? I might have missed you, anyway, with all the fighting going on at the time."

A nod back. "Yeah, with the Rangers and the other Riders."

"Riders?" This earned Shoutarou a faint look of confusion. "Riders of what?" He was vaguely familiar with the Rangers as some sort of crimefighting group that showed up every now and again to help out, but that was it.

Whoops, guess that's what he gets for assuming. "Er. Kamen Riders - should've specified, sorry."

"Kamen Riders?" That rang a very faint bell, but Zouichi still looked a little lost. He was, after all, from about a thousand years in the future. "Are you a kind of... superhero team?"

"Something to that effect, yes. Usually less in a group than the Rangers, if a group at all."

"Hmm. I thought costumed heroes usually kept their identity secret." Or at least that was what Red Robin was wont to do. For whatever reason. Secret identities pretty much didn't exist on Zouichi's world.

"We generally did back home, though if there was a need to do things in a public area, we didn't hold back on transforming there." A light shrug. "I figured that here, given what we're here to do, no sense in hiding things."
