It's The Final Countdown

This was it. Endgame. The crux of the battle, the turning point, those crucial moments that would decide if the crew won or lost, that would decide if the Ohm would reign victorious or go running with their chitinous tails between their legs.

Did the crew have enough grit to win? Could they defeat a full Ohm fighting force?

With the flagging confidence of the GIA forces, it'd be up to the crew to turn the tide.

And one of the crew would pay the ultimate price to make sure the others walked away alive.

[ooc: everything is up!]

Kate blasted some of the Ohm overhead with her wind attacks, swooping around to cover the others. She was so focused on that, and not the return hits the Zord took in a few minor areas. Or the initial call to form the Megazord.

Hang on, guys. She finally said before shifting to the forming structure in the remaining spot.

When Hoshi came over to Ren, she took the Driver from him and was about to transform once more, however she took a brief moment to glance over her shoulder and saw the tanks and carriers being flung for them. She went to protect Ren with her body before Seraphiel came to knock the vehicles away from his mistress and her friend.

"T-Thanks, Seraphiel, Ren," she said, giving her holy beast a smile. She shrugged out of her vest and handed it over to him to keep him warm, already having the necessary Memories with her. Within a few moments, she stood as Nazca once more, but in the blue armor this time.

"'Fine', huh?" she said in a slight cocky tone as she helped her friend up from the ground. "Do what you can to stay warm and keep the pressure off of your leg." She then went to get her bike and bring it over to Ren for him to lean on before she took off to the skies once more.

While the others were transforming, Jamie was busy using his staff to fend off some of the Ohm threatening the Riders, trying to keep them from being overwhelmed with the sheer numbers on the battlefield. He was still keeping an eye on the Juggernaut, however, and behind the helmet, his eyes widened in alarm.

As the beam shot towards them, he leapt into into the air and towards the other Zords, out of the way of the worst of the blast - but the concussive force behind it was enough to knock him slightly off course. Jamie had to scramble to avoid crashing, fingers running over the toggles in the control panel inside his Zord as he let the instinctive knowledge that came with the morph take over. If he had tried to think about what he was doing, he wouldn't have been able to pull it off. However he managed - barely - to key in the correct sequence in time and the Warrior slid into its place in the formation.

Riders or anyone who can hear me, if ye can get back into the fight, see if ye can attack in the same places ye were attacking it before. Lash, if ye have an idea on using your CO power, I'm all ears.

The Mega Thunderzord strode toward the Ohm, batting at a vehicle that came flying its way, knocking it to one side and safely away from the others. As it did so, it drew the Thunder Saber. While he wasn't going for its strongest attack just yet, it still made a good weapon to use - especially if there were any weak points in its shell he could use to the Ranger's advantage. And it should give the others some breathing room - he hoped.

Right. Time to see how ye deal with something more your own size! he said, before closing and swinging the sword at what he thought looked like a suitably weak area.

A Kamen Rider listening to sound medical advice? Not going to happen.

At the very least, Ren was keeping his weight on his left leg as he pulled out his deck and Survive Card.

"Last chance," he whispered. This time, he wasn't letting Darkwing get out of control again. "Henshin!"

A powerful wind blew through the battlefield as Ren transformed directly into Knight Survive. With no real way to fight with his sword, he scanned a card.

The Visor on his arm generated a crossbow, and he began firing energy arrows at the Ohm.

Step One to becoming a Kamen Rider: Kindly throw out all logical thought processes in regards to self-preservation. Step Two: Replace those with being too dumb and/or headstrong to quit.

Shoutarou covered his eyes as that wind blew by - and something surged inside Double.

"...wind...Aha! The wind!" The silvery-clear streak running down the middle of Double's body turned gold, and six long, circuited wings sprouted from Double's back.

"Thanks, Ren! This'll definitely help out." And wooosh, up in the air Double goes to chop at the general's joints more.

[identity profile] radiantcourage.livejournal.com 2011-08-26 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
Well, if that was how the life of a Kamen Rider was - then consider her in! She definitely had the headstrong behavior required for the job, just to start off with.

"...Man, Double gets cooler the more I learn about it," Hoshi said in mostly a way to boost morale of the team. She heard Jamie's request and nodded to it. You need some more firepower? I'm down with that. Leave it to us.

Now, if they were gonna do that, then she'd have to kick it up a notch. She took out the Nazca Memory and inserted the Level 3 Memory, shifting to the orange suit once more. And, instead of using the same old attacks again, she was going to change it up a bit. She took out a Memory given to her by Philip, it specifically being the Heat Memory. She inserted it in her blade and felt her fire power (pardon the pun) magnify greatly.

"Let's see what you can do individually."

Flames surrounded her sword while she flung the powerful attack straight for the Ohm. Hope you liked your Ohm meat well done!

Here's the deal, Lash explained from her post. Two zord and all the ummm... geeze what did they call themselves? The other guys out there should totally be easy for me to power up. Lies, but they didn't really need to know about that until it was all over. Idiots being worried made too many mistakes anyway (at least that's what she told herself).

You know how it works already, right? I'll call up my CO power and its going to make both zords a lot easier to move, boost up the defense and attack power. If we do that at just the right moment, it could be the final blow we need, tee hee hee! I don't know if it will be enough to take it out, but it will definitely give us an edge. She shook from her post as the robot finished transformation. But there was something else in her mind.

Did you notice it's attacking without a proper target? she theorized. Well by that I mean it's attacking everything, but not going after what's the strongest, but what's closest. At least I think! Even wunderkinds could be wrong.

That gave her another idea.

I'm gonna go climb its head with my tank. Thanks to my genius and my powers, it should be a snap to get up there. If I'm able to keep it distracted by making swats at me, you should be able to land in really good hit on it.

The idea was near-suicide, but considering that the others seemed to be drawing near their last powers it could be a good way to keep everyone alive.

Billy could not quickly list all the ways in which this plan struck him as a Bad Idea. He was scrambling to get the Tigerzord morphed into warrior mode as quickly as possible, hoping against hope that he wasn't struck out---

---and somehow, despite the damage, he made it. Almost immediately, he was on the defensive, lifting the Zord's arm to block an attack. When he could, he charged a punch---best to wear it down a little.

So let me see if I understand this, Billy answered in a low voice. Your plan is to partially drain your strength by boosting ours, and while doing that you're going to bait it? We should share the burden---I should do it, he hurried to say, managing one of his blasts. I don't want all of that just on you.

[identity profile] ron-factor.livejournal.com 2011-08-26 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, Lash that plan kinda strikes me as suicidally stupid, really.

And Ron knew a thing or too about stupid plans.

[identity profile] afro-wunderkind.livejournal.com 2011-08-26 05:49 am (UTC)(link)
If she could have glared at him from her helmet, she would have.

Shut up before I kick you again. It's going to work. Besides, and this part was directed at Billy, I'm the most brilliant tactician there is! There's no way this is going to fail! Come on, it wasn't like she was worried for everyone's safety and was actually caring about them or anything at the cost of getting hurt herself. THAT WOULD BE SILLY.

Sides, you're all gonna share the burden anyway, genius. You guys are going to have to drive with one less person at the controls. You better not get yourselves killed before I get there!

She wasn't doing this to play the bigshot hero, or to look brave in the eyes of others. Lash was doing it because it was the most sound, logical, best way for them to win right now and, (not that she'd ever admit it) keep the others out of harm's way. As a commanding officer, this choice was the most optimal, or so she had decided. As a Ranger, she knew she was the only one who should be doing this.

And let's not forget that it might not completely defeat him either! If it knocks down two of us, we'd look like complete idiots struggling to control the Zords! So yeah, stop arguing with her already.

What?! Lash, that's the daftest thing I've ever heard. Jamie commented, hand moving over the controls as he continued to press the attack. You'd be taking an awful risk by going out there on your own. This oversized bug's not the only one out there, ye know.

She had a point, though, about her powers. If they had the extra boost they provided, and then coordinated an attack, they could very likely take the Juggernaut down. And there wasn't anyone else here would could boost them like that - not in the immediate area, anyway.

Are ye sure you'll be able to get there without getting hurt?

[identity profile] afro-wunderkind.livejournal.com 2011-08-26 08:10 am (UTC)(link)
Definitely not.

Not a problem! Truthfully she was wondering why she was lying about this at all. It's not like she cared!

Besides, it's not like you can stop me.
And that. Was Lash in a nutshell.

If all else fails, I'll get her out of harm's way, Shoutarou interjected. You keep that thing distracted, like that, then Philip and I will give it one heck of a kick in the back. Thing's got a wasp waist. Enough force might make it snap...

Swing the sword, dodge the claws, fail to dodge the other claws, recover and put the sword and shield a way while moving away from the strikes...

An idea comes to light! ...if the floor's still open for crazy ideas, could I get one of you giant robot guys to throw me up in the air as hard as you can?

[identity profile] andyallgrownup.livejournal.com 2011-08-26 03:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Andy sighed. This plan was definitely the stupidest thing that they could ever come up with. But well... it's not like they had anything remotely resembling a choice right now, did they?

Lash, just be careful! And then he heard what Shoutarou wanted. ... What are you going to try?

[identity profile] radiantcourage.livejournal.com 2011-08-26 04:53 pm (UTC)(link)
You don't need to worry about strengthening me, Lash. The adapter I have can handle that much. I can do what's needed to get you to the head in time, since the Nazca Memory is rather fast in a pinch, said Hoshi while she sent off a few more spheres of energy at the Ohm.

Then, an idea came to her just as it did with Shoutarou. Ah! I got it! She snapped her fingers in victory. Ren, use your Trick Vent card. While you are too injured to fight normally, the copies can. Shoutarou, Philip - if you guys are gonna go that route, I can strike from the sky with you via a Rider Kick. Then, when Lash is ready to do her CO thing, I'll help get her up to the head of the Ohm and get her out just in time. As for you guys-- Naturally, they were the Rangers. --do your Zord magic against the Ohm.

Everyone okay with this idea?

[identity profile] darknight-rider.livejournal.com 2011-08-26 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Got it, Ren answered, scanning the card and creating eight copies of himself, who drew their swords and attacked. They couldn't be hurt, though they could hurt the enemy.

Unfortunately, it also meant that he couldn't keep firing, making him even more vulnerable.

I need someone to cover me, he pointed out. If I'm hit, the copies will all vanish.

[identity profile] memory-hax.livejournal.com 2011-08-26 05:36 pm (UTC)(link)
"Meow," replied Similodon, moving in front of Ren to protect him from harms way. The dopant nodded at him and brandished his claws.

Let's do this. replied Philip.

[identity profile] afro-wunderkind.livejournal.com 2011-08-26 06:11 pm (UTC)(link)
If you think you can get me out of there in time, that's your choice, the wunderkind replied, but I don't need a taxi to get there! I don't think you could carry the whole tank anyway. A good throw from the Thunderzord's arm is going to be more than enough.

The Neoneotank (http://oi56.tinypic.com/30ktyd2.jpg) was already going down the left arm of the robot as Lash left the control room, the sounds of the battle coming from outside. As she neared the arm, Lash added,

Oh yeah! Hey glorious leader! If anything happens, just let the others take me wherever they do all that dumb healing stuff kay?
She gave him an army salute from her post as she slid into the tank. Oh look Jamie she was admitting it might be dangerous after telling you it was not, TOO BAD. Just keep fighting until you squish that dumb bug into a disgusting, pulpy mess!

Everything about all of this, from the Rider's own movements to what she was doing, to the Zord releasing it's big attacks sounded like a last attempt in desperation. Lash couldn't help but think back when they did something similar fighting the giant Oozium beast back in her homeworld. Hopefully it would work here too.

bonnypiperlad: (ranger!jamie - cockpit)

[personal profile] bonnypiperlad 2011-08-26 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Jamie still wasn't convinced. Look, I don't know. I say it's too danger --

But Lash was already leaving. For once, it would be really nice if a lassie actually listened to him, he thought to himself. There was nothing he could do about it now, though, other than go through with the plan.

Fine, we'll try things your way. Just don't go and get yourself killed, all right? We need ye as part of this team.

If something happened to her because of this...he shoved the tiny little voice that was telling him he'd never forgive himself for it. If anyone could pull this off, it would be Lash. As she got into the Neoneotank, he made the necessary adjustments to keep the Mega Thunderzord together, and spoke to the other Rangers.

I can split things so we can cover for her being gone, but I'll need your help, aye? To Shoutarou, he added, I'll not be able to do both at the same time, but once Lash is free I should be able to get ye into the air, too.

And with that, he began the sequence to move the giant mecha's arm and throw the Neoneotank at the Juggernaut. Just before he activated it completely, he sent one more thought.

Hope you're ready for this, Lash. Good luck.
morphitudinous: (Zord cockpit :3)

[personal profile] morphitudinous 2011-08-26 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Billy braced himself for the strike, flipping the controls. There was no stopping her, was there?

I can take Shoutarou, he interjected, offering an arm. We'll send a signal and strike as one, right?

It's definitely tense out here. He's sending out sonic waves, straining to keep the General at bay for just a few seconds. It doesn't seem to work, though, and he's forced to make another block. While he can, he sends a shock down the arm in contact in the hopes of doing some damage.

Brace yourselves and climb up. Lash, stay safe---someone will be with you. Right?

The Riders had better be.

[identity profile] nothawkingbird.livejournal.com 2011-08-27 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
There was little time to react to Lash's in her opinion, stupid if brave plan. Before she could even voice a protest or counter the idea, she was already leaving.

Does anybody else get a really bad feeling about all of this? She commented from her position in the cockpit. Kate shifted over to help with the controls since the other Ranger had a point they would be short one, and that meant more work for the rest of them to control the Megazord.

She listened to Jamie's instructions and nodded, Already on it. Lash, you better get back here ok.

[identity profile] radiantcourage.livejournal.com 2011-08-27 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, don't worry, Billy. I'll be there for her. While it couldn't be seen by the naked eye, she was darting through the chaos to be there for Lash when she initiated her plan.

Upon her arrival to the General's head, she descended a bit, slashing at a few stray Ohm that would come and disrupt what Lash had in mind. "Do what you need to do, Lash. I'll be your cover here so that no one interrupts!"

She stood ready, and as tired as she was, she was still going to push through this obstacle and protect her friend so that nothing would happen that wasn't supposed to.

[identity profile] ron-factor.livejournal.com 2011-08-27 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
It's Lash's plan. I just assume in advance that I'm supposed to have a bad feeling about it. Ron slid over, taking the rest of Lash's controls.
