cityship: (Meanwhile...)

It's The Final Countdown

This was it. Endgame. The crux of the battle, the turning point, those crucial moments that would decide if the crew won or lost, that would decide if the Ohm would reign victorious or go running with their chitinous tails between their legs.

Did the crew have enough grit to win? Could they defeat a full Ohm fighting force?

With the flagging confidence of the GIA forces, it'd be up to the crew to turn the tide.

And one of the crew would pay the ultimate price to make sure the others walked away alive.

[ooc: everything is up!]

"General - General Chacon!" The broadcast came from the GIA ships. "We've found the location of the Node controlling the Ohm fleet. It's in the aft section of one of the city ships. I'm sending you the location now."

Trudy glanced at her targeting computer as she banked hard away from the Shrikes, retreating to the relative safety of their defensive position. The line was holding - for now. Trudy switched her channel to Starfighter Command. "To the fleet - the Node has been located. It's in the city ship, and it's well-guarded. Quarter, see if you can managed a direct hit with the main cannon. All Squadrons keep the retaliation away from the ship."

Then Trudy switched to Blade Squadron's specific channel and said, "Commander, Deathscythe is our only stealth unit. Maxwell is the best chance we've got of taking out that Node after the Quarter has cleared a path. Think he's up to it?"

Of course, knowing Maxwell, he would take that message as a personal challenge.
