Post Mission Party At The Bar

Its time to unwind, relax and receive news of home. A pod pop occurred while some were on a mission and it's time to meet up with new friends, drink well with old, and relax. The Drunken Dragon has opened its doors and stands ready and willing to assist in forgetting the trials those on the mission experienced.

OOC: If you want a specific barmaid, just put their name in the subject. Otherwise, enjoy, intermingle and do as you like.

"How many siblings is that again?"

"I'm sure they'll wake up soon enough," he said to her. "Your mom, too." Be it soon or at the end of their journey or whenever they figure out how to open Stacy's pods manually, it had to happen sooner or later. But at least she had her father in the meantime, that must have been comforting. "Sometimes this ship really likes to surprise us!"

Jr. could tell she was nervous, though he could only guess why. Maybe she was just shy, maybe she was just unused to so many humans around. But he was used to dealing with nervous people, and getting hesitant or awkward never helped, so he stayed chatty. "How old are you?"

"Yes she does. More often than not, it's surprises I'd rather not have sprung on us, though," Kang snorted, keeping a comforting arm around Kali's shoulders.

"That's why they're surprises," he said jestfully with a half shrug. "Maybe she'll get the point soon on what to avoid in the future." One could only hope.

"Ah, ten, huh? Not too far behind me! Mostly." Not too far from how old he physically was, at any rate. But at the same time, there were times where it was still oddly natural to act the age he looked rather than the age he was. It was a strange feeling, sometimes. "You get a chance to see much of the ship, yet? I'm not sure how long ago you and everyone else new woke up since I was down on the planet with your dad..."

"I doubt that. It's not just the ship, either. It's the Daligig, and damn near every planet we've visited so far," Kang said dryly. He didn't like sugarcoating things, especially around people he cared about. Kali deserved to know the truth, and he had full confidence that she could handle herself perfectly fine with training; she was a draconian, after all.

"Yeah ... it's pretty hard to keep track of time, thanks to Stacy being, well, Stacy. She's really got no set day or night, so we're left estimating at most."

With a smile, he gave a small shrug. It wasn't really a huge deal to him how long he'd be on or how long this giant mission of theirs would last. He focused more on the end result of the mission. Even though there was a lot that he lost just prior to arriving on the ship, there was still so much more worth trying to save. His friends, MOMO and Juli, Mary and Shelley...

So it was good that Kali asked about the Daligig. Jr. had heard a lot about them too, even though he hadn't been blessed to meet the people who apparently pulled them into his mission. He always liked hearing about them, even it was something he heard already. It reminded him to think more about them, and their trustworthiness. He looked at Kang when the question was asked.

"The Daligig," Kang snorted. "They're the ones that, as far as we know, rescued us from the Ohm, and started the Greater Interdimensional Alliance as a means to protect the multiverse. We've never met any in person. They're apparently too far away to offer us any aid."

He clearly didn't think too highly of the Daligig, or trust them. There were too many unanswered questions, and he wasn't the type to trust anyone implicitly. He'd been burned before.
