If it keeps on rainin', the levees are goin' break [Open]
One of the people grateful for the return of crew members from Gailee was one very worn out Dean Winchester. He was barely getting by but forced himself to push through while Security was short handed, and down one of the co-heads. Upon Dick's return, he sent him a weary 'Welcome back, tag you're it.' message on the comms before leaving his notes for the threat database he'd been compiling where it was easily accessible to him. He debated heading to the Tavern, but that meant people, especially certain people. The Impala was in the Hangar, but so was Serenity so that was out too for now. He finally decided on making his way to the Beer Tree in Hydroponics, and flopped down on the grass underneath. He had grabbed a few bottles, and proceeded to crack the first open.
A few hours later, there was a small collection of bottles nearby, but Dean wasn't even close to being that drunk. To be honest, he didn't have much urge for anything at the moment. He'd have to get back eventually but right now, he wasn't moving or doing one damn thing.
Just felt empty and hollow. Like a shell or (vessel).

"You're the new Security Head, aren't you?" he asked. "How did things go aboard the ship?"
He'd seen a couple new people in the Brig.

"Shitty, had a few antsy people during podpop, a couple of fights, and somebody else tried doctoring a X-Wing to come down after all of you when we lost contact. Everybody's been pulling double shifts." Well mostly Dean has.
"Got a few new recruits at least."
no subject
"Hmm. I guess I should read over the reports. I heard about Allenby's stunt already, though -- I have to say I'm not really surprised. I hope she hasn't made things too difficult for you."
He clasped one wrist behind his back, regarding the Beer Tree with some interest. "I'll volunteer for a few doubles, if things are still short. I don't really sleep, anyway."
no subject
"You're right, we haven't. Seen you around here and there." Seen how he's been on the comms too.
"Only when she first got arrested, settled down some in the brig at least. And yeah? Makes two of us. Thanks though. Should be better with everybody back."
no subject
"She's a nice person, overall. Would it be possible for volunteer for more brig duty? I think she's less likely to act out if she isn't as bored."
He motioned to the tree. "Is there any reason you're drinking here rather than in the tavern?"

Eva makes a camera-clicking motion with her hands. "You look like a PSA for the dangers of lethargy, Winchester."
Even so, her voice is gentle. "Not having a stellar day?"

He shrugged at that, so much had happened since then, it mattered little to him now.
He gave a weak chuckle, and replied, "Thanks."

Shoutarou plops down beside Dean.
"I'm guessing you were more wore out than you put on, boss-man."
no subject
Dean gestured to the bottles in care the other guy wanted one.
"How's the agency coming along?"
no subject
At the inquiry, Shoutarou sighs, then laughs a bit. "...believe it or not, only thing so far is helping a guy find one of his balls."
no subject
He did snort a little at that, "He couldn't just do a grab to check? Or he got a girl holding them hostage?"

In the midst of all that mess was Dean, and he sure didn't look good. She sighed, trotting back over to her little supply area. Ah yes, a fresh apple...that might do the trick.
She nudged it toward him with her nose. "You're looking pretty far under the weather, sugar."
no subject
He glanced down at the apple, debating. Usually he liked them more processed and baked in some fashion than fresh. Still it was an offer.
"Thanks," he added before accepting the apple.

"It sure smells rough. You sure it ain't more than just a big load?"

What she was surprised by though was the man sitting next to an odd looking tree with a bunch of what appeared to be beer bottles next to him. The scene seemed off to her. Cassie hesitated a moment before stepping closer and asking, "Are you okay, sir?

"Oh I'm just great. Just enjoying some downtime."

"Used to know somebody by that name, I'm Dean."
no subject
"It's nice to meet you, Dean," she said brightly, settling next to him since he seemed to be allowing her to stay. "So, may I ask what you're taking downtime from? I'm new to the ship."
