If it keeps on rainin', the levees are goin' break [Open]

One of the people grateful for the return of crew members from Gailee was one very worn out Dean Winchester. He was barely getting by but forced himself to push through while Security was short handed, and down one of the co-heads. Upon Dick's return, he sent him a weary 'Welcome back, tag you're it.' message on the comms before leaving his notes for the threat database he'd been compiling where it was easily accessible to him. He debated heading to the Tavern, but that meant people, especially certain people. The Impala was in the Hangar, but so was Serenity so that was out too for now. He finally decided on making his way to the Beer Tree in Hydroponics, and flopped down on the grass underneath. He had grabbed a few bottles, and proceeded to crack the first open.

A few hours later, there was a small collection of bottles nearby, but Dean wasn't even close to being that drunk. To be honest, he didn't have much urge for anything at the moment. He'd have to get back eventually but right now, he wasn't moving or doing one damn thing.

Just felt empty and hollow. Like a shell or (vessel).

He didn't think he'd seen Dean in Starfighter Command.

"Your car? The Infiniti?" Zouichi hadn't really paid attention to the cars, but he recalled seeing one or two of them.

Zouichi held up his hands in surrender. "They're all classics to me, I'm afraid -- I'm from 3005 A.D. But I do remember seeing that car. I used to store my bike in the Hangar."

He preferred motorcycles over cars, really. But the XLA had plenty of electronic systems. Not that he'd have it any other way.

He blinked. "What makes a car a 'classic'?"

Zouichi raised his hand to the height of the XLA's handlebars. "About this tall, black, has an AI with a holographic projector? Because that would be it."

It was sort of hard to miss, because Fuyu would sometimes drive around the Hangar without a rider.

"Really? You don't look like a fiftysomething. And I'll convey your compliments to my fancy bike of the future." He was joking, of course.

"Doesn't seem like you get much of a chance to drive it, though."

"Ah, a present? That was nice of him."

Zouichi nodded. "That's one of the things I miss about Earth. There were always plenty of roads. Find a deserted stretch, and you could go as fast as you wanted."

Or, you know, just find any stretch once the police force was wiped out and replaced.

"Hmm. Well, it's a little difficult to listen to music on a motorcycle, but I did enjoy the ride. Maybe sometime there'll be a mission that involves less talking and more long stretches of highway."

He paused. "So you're from a version of Earth, right? Twentieth century?"

"Like a lot of the crew. I wonder what's so special about that specific time and place..."
