Cause, effect
Allenby lay on her cot, tapping her feet on the wall. She was--well she wasn't exactly happy to be in here, but she wasn't mad about it either. She'd cooled off, and for the past however-long had been picking apart how badly thought through her idea was. Mainly because it hadn't been thought through at all.
She'd done something dumb and so she supposed this was only fair, though she was still pretty pissed that Command seemed to think she was completely in the wrong for getting upset after a whole lot of silence from them about the away team. Thirty damn people were down there; did they think nobody would want to do something?!
And she was even more pissed that they'd gone and mothballed her Gundam until she kissed up to Trudy, promising to be a good girl, sit up straight, and never question her again... or whatever would satisfy her, which was the main problem occupying her thoughts right now.
Well, at least Alan Turing was being taken care of.
[ooc: This is a general log for anyone in the brig who wants to interact with each other--prisoners, staff, or visitors. You don't necessarily have to talk to Allenby; feel free to set up your own stuff. o/ ]

"What a drag."

She grinned, rolling her eyes toward Midna. "Still glad ya volunteered to come along?"
no subject
She waved the cards at Allenby. "I learned how to play this game at one of the arcades in the city... you know it? You pick cards that add up to twenty-one."
no subject
She perked up when Midna showed the cards, though. "Yeah, I played that one! Hah, that one's kinda excitin'--you'll have to deal though."
no subject
"So, I haven't seen you around much before."

'Kiddo,' that was a new one... heh. She didn't really know the last time she'd been called that.

"For what it's worth, I was a stone's throw from tossing in with you."

So there was still no way to know what the hell was happening to their friends, goddammit. She should have gone to Billy and offered to help--do something computery, even if it was just turning things off and on again.

She was here now though, seeing Allenby, the girl she'd spoken to and had dropped by the Outsider's that one time. She walked in, looking around the place.
"Man, I am so glad not to be here again," Kaya commented, shaking her head. "How are you holding up, Allenby?"
no subject
...not that she could make amends for that right now, but when she got out of here she'd make a point of heading down there more often. "Worried, bored, ticked. But I guess for a jail it ain't so bad." She sat up. "What'd you ever get thrown in the brig for? You don't seem that much like a troublemaker to me."
no subject
She shrugged. "But what you did wasn't so terrible: they just need to make an example of you. If you're a pilot, you're expected to listen to your superiors: not doing that means they look bad. Me, I and several others were going after a Yeerk: back then, we were scared they could do, since they were brain controlling aliens. The Yeerk had gotten a not guilty verdict, we thought it was a threat. That was awhile ago though: back then, it was Leon that would have taken us in, he was head of security then."
no subject
She scowled when Kaya explained what her offense had been. Most of Allenby's knowledge of Yeerks came from Eva's post back when Iniss had been running for the Council seat. And frankly, Allenby couldn't feel anything but revulsion for the whole lot of them if that was all true. "I can't say I blame you for that. Those guys sound creepy as hell, even if they do count as members of the crew."
Leon had been in security then, though? Allenby made a mental note to ask later who'd been captain back then.

But, she did have a little meal in her arms for Allenby, walking down to her cell.
"Hey, Allenby. How are you holding up?"
no subject
So when she saw Hoshi and the food, she hopped up and headed over to the bars, leaning one arm against them. "Ain't started trying to tame birds yet, or whatever it is people do when they've been in prison forever," she said. "Whatcha got there?"
no subject
"I made a meal for you. I figured it probably would be better than whatever kind of food they serve you in here."

Bendytimed
"Hey. Heard you got into some trouble while we were away."
no subject
"You're back! How'd it go? Did you kick those jerks' butts?"
no subject
"Brought you something, hope it's a change from brig food. And, uh. Well... it's kind of a long story. I think we ended up doing some good, but as for where the planet's going to go from there... I guess it's really up to them."
no subject
...and okay, that was pretty cryptic. "What happened? Did you guys wind up fighting the government or something? It sounds like they deserved some kinda pounding from that omnicomm message you guys sent."
