Allenby lay on her cot, tapping her feet on the wall. She was--well she wasn't exactly happy to be in here, but she wasn't mad about it either. She'd cooled off, and for the past however-long had been picking apart how badly thought through her idea was. Mainly because it hadn't been thought through at all.
She'd done something dumb and so she supposed this was only fair, though she was still pretty pissed that Command seemed to think she was completely in the wrong for getting upset after a whole lot of silence from them about the away team. Thirty damn people were down there; did they think nobody would want to do something?!
And she was even more pissed that they'd gone and mothballed her Gundam until she kissed up to Trudy, promising to be a good girl, sit up straight, and never question her again... or whatever would satisfy her, which was the main problem occupying her thoughts right now.
Well, at least Alan Turing was being taken care of.
[ooc: This is a general log for anyone in the brig who wants to interact with each other--prisoners, staff, or visitors. You don't necessarily have to talk to Allenby; feel free to set up your own stuff. o/ ]

Kaya looked a little conflicted. "I know the Yeerks have gotten better, but I didn't know that, nor that there were even any good ones. Even now, I'm still not sure what I think of them. The only thing I did that I think was wrong was that we would have unseated something the crew decided on themselves. The hardest thing on this ship is to stop people from fighting: its the easiest thing to do with so many people."

She sighed. "I guess that's a good point. There are so many of us from different places, it's kinda surprising that there isn't more trouble around. I mean, it's bad enough when you just put humans and humans together."

Kaya sighed. "Oh there has been trust me. It's only recently that we were able to draft a Council and really outline the duties of everyone on the ship. Your heart was in the right place, I believe that. But the problem is if they let you blatantly disregard their orders and do what you want, it'll send a message that anyone else could do that. It's important to maintain the order on this ship: otherwise, everything just goes crazy."

"I guess I can see the sense in that. But I still think they oughta told us that they were doing something about this situation. I would've started listening a lot sooner if they'd said that there were already people down there instead of just saying no, no, no." Not immediately, but it probably wouldn't have ended in the Brig.

She'd seen Leon in action too: as commander of the ship, he knew by now he was doubly responsible for the actions of others.
"The other reason is simpler: the people on the planet can defintely take care of themselves. Lash, Overlord Zetta, Kang, Ruffnut, Hit Girl: a lot of those guys are the toughest on the ship. No way they'd let themselves be defenseless for long."

She owed Stacy a punch in the face. Another one.
Still, Kaya's point was good. "Now I'm startin' to wish I'd gone down there just to see what all those guys are going to do to the Galileeans," she said with a grin. "I just hope they're all able to get back in one piece, though."

God, she just had to find something else to think about. At least for five or ten minutes. "So--how did Leon get to be the captain anyway? I ain't studied the history of the ship as much as I probably should have."
SO sorry I'm late, erased this by mistake! So glad for LJ mailbox!
She sighed. "Well, we had several different captains before. Before him was a Captain Kirk, and before him was...Captain Jean Luc Picard. He was one of my favorites actually: he showed me how big the universes were and everything. Anyway, once we lost the captains, we had a vote, and Leon threw his hate in. Even he didn't expect to be Captain, but he was voted in and everything. I think he resents it a little bit though: he used to be head of security, and now he's pretty much got his hands tied with looking over the ship."
No worries! :3
But this really wasn't a fight, was it. It was war. She hadn't had any idea how complicated it was, on top of being plain awful.
"Well, it's nice that you guys picked him yourself. I'd hate the thought of the GIA and Stacy decidin' that." She looked thoughtful. "If he didn't want to be captain, howcome he ran? Were the other guys who wanted it that bad?"
Re: No worries! :3
She didn't envy his job, and she was actually idealistic. She knew it would take a heck of a lot to get this crew together, to have them working alongside each other and making a stand against the Ohm without deciding they alone knew what was best.
"I didn't vote for him, mostly because I thought he made a better security chief. As a captain, well, we could do worse. He's at least keeping us together."

Still, it was a hell of a lot better than Stacy herself or the GIA completely running the show, she had to admit that much.

She smiled "And it was brave, to try and help them despite what the captain said. Dumb, but brave."
