Newbie Meet n' Greet

For the newbies, there are people waiting for them in the Obs Deck. A whole gaggle of people. Behind them is the nasty statue, and the beautiful sight through the windows of the stars streaming past and the swirling vortex of collars that was interdimensional travel.

There are more questions than answers, but the crew is willing to help, especially the Command Staff and greeters.

"Not really, from what I've seen." Marcus says, definitely not looking out the windows. He wasn't really comfortable with the idea of being in space yet, and maybe avoiding the windows would make that easier. Maybe. "Lots of kids, going by who's in here." And yeah, Kira, he's including you under the label of 'kids'.

Hey, no problem with that. Kira's barely a legal adult, so. Plus, he's kind of used to being called it. "...I wonder what it wants with everybody."

He still looks out at the stars. "Or where it's taking us. The stars look so... different."

"All I know is what the ship told me, which isn't much. Some 'Great Purpose', which sounds a hell of a lot like being drafted." Marcus says with a shrug. He hasn't actually found anyone who can answer his questions, so he's not going to be the most helpful person ever.

"That's what she told me, too. But no one seems to know what we're meant to be doing."

"I think this is where they've shoved all the new people." Marcus says. "Makes sense that we've got no idea what's going on."

Kira frowned. "Maybe the ship did it so we could meet each other, but... I think we all feel lost and confused." A pause. "Maybe we'll meet the others later?"

"Probably. I heard there are some people who were here before wandering around answering questions, but I haven't seen any of them." He's been a little preoccupied with trying to find his friends, but he's not completely unobservant.
