Karen was still a little nervous around Kang, and quiet, even after spending a couple of days with him, and he couldn't really blame her. At least she wasn't terrified of him anymore, and she wasn't all that difficult to watch over. He'd even managed to find a few things to help keep her entertained in Possessions (the Fairplay memories were definitely coming in handy in this case; he wouldn't have known what type of things human children typically liked to do otherwise).
He had duties at the tavern, though, and decided to bring her along with him. She'd offered to help him out, but there really wasn't anything a child as young as her could do, so he'd handed her some paper and crayons and set her up at a table next to the bar, asking her to draw some pictures for the tavern. That way, she was occupied and out of the way, and still felt that she was doing something to help.
He made sure to keep an eye on her as he went about his usual business, checking up on her every now and then to make sure she wasn't bored.

"Hey Kang, when you get the chance, still want to talk to you. And if you got whiskey and anything on the grill, that wouldn't hurt my feelings none."

Now... he'd normally get fruit juice, but ..... "Do you have brandy?"

Children had always been a source of entertainment for her. Not only did they find her childish pranks entertaining, they were mostly pure of mind, sometimes innocent and powerful in their beliefs of the greatest good. So oddly enough instead of reaching for a drink, like she did once in a while, she walked to the child instead.
"What are you drawing?" she asked her voice a lot more gentle than usual.

(But Aftran had said Kang was okay. And he hadn't tried to eat her yet...)
"Um, um..." She shrunk back a little when she looked up at the woman. The purple woman. "It's a picture of the Drunken Dragon..."

She thinks it might be more worthwhile to just sit in a room for three days to calm Marco's nerves. It wouldn't do anything for hers.
"Hit me," Eva says, settling into a slump even before she's had anything to drink. She thinks for a moment, and then adds "lightly".

Admittedly, he's been coming to the tavern hoping Orc might show up, but so far there's been no dice there.
Either way, it's about time he start to get the political lay of the land. He saunters up to the bar and hops up on one of the stools, sitting on his knees to be a bit taller. "You got anything non-alcoholic? I don't want to look like I'm just here to eavesdrop."

Though he will admit that sometimes it's tempting, but he hates the taste, and that's a good enough disincentive to drown his paranoia. "Not that, you know, it'll always fry your brain, obviously, but I like to play it safe."

Dean slowly walked in with a puzzled expression. Huh, quaint, but he could have sworn this place was one of those up and coming gastro pubs. This just looked like an old fashioned bar. Homey though.
He clapped his hands together, and rubbed them a moment as he debated on taking a seat at one of the booths.

He then looked up, and explained, "I know, I know it's no Armani, but hey, I ever get back to get that promotion, who knows, huh? Listen, uh Kang, any chance a guy could get a water and a fresh salad? I'm still on the cleanse."

Tilting her head, she made her way over to Karen, and leaned down.
"What'cha drawin' there, sweetheart?"
no subject
"Um... it's me and my friend Aftran," she said, looking down at the paper. They were actual human-shaped people, not stick figures, but the quality wasn't that great.
